4 Days out and have some questions!

HI guys

Well i had my surgery last Thursday (Its Sunday now) so thats 3.5 days..

Im ok, just a little sore at the port site and get sore standing up for long

periods...

Things im not sure about are -

Im not really drinking much as im not thirsty. I had a milk drink tonight and could only drink about 100mls before i was uncomfortable!!

It takes me an hour to drink a small V8 box. Is this normal?

I try to sip powerade all day to keep me hydrated.

I havent tried anything but, powerade, up and go drinks, and V8.

Im scared to drink to much - is this normal?

Nic

Any liquid that you consume should pass through your pouch quickly. When you drank the milk - the "uncomfortableness" didn't last long, did it? I was told to meal only 2-4 ounces per meal, three times a day. Also, you need the protein. I wasn't afraid of getting too much in the pouch as I ate quite small meals and very slowly. I know the pouch thing is new to your body and your mind. I think you will feel more like yourself as time passes. I had to "make peace" with my band.
