Signing up for consultation.. how long do you wait to have surgeory?

Hey guys..

I figure I am going to have to pay out of pocket for my surgery as I have about 50lbs to lose.

Any ideas on ballpark for this surgery?

Also, how long between committing and surgery ?

Just curious..

    After attending a siminar it took about 3 weeks. 1st week after I had upper GI 2nd week consult and Blood work and surgery the 3rd. I too am self pay and used a same day surgery center. good Luck

    I would think it varies between practices. For me, I attending the seminar this week and called the next day to make an appointment with the surgeon for the evaluation. He was booked about three weeks out, so I'll be seeing him July 1. They said self pays usually are scheduled for surgery within a month after the appointment.
