Can you hear me burp/belch from where you're at? :(

Ok, I don't know why but I have been excessively belching for the last 2 days. :confused:I have no pain but if I stifle the belching, I get nauseous. These last two nights I must've belched at least 100 times and they are long and loud. It's not that it hurts or anything but it is uncomforable to have to keep burping. I did not eat late tonight although last night I did. It gets worse when I lay down...which is not conducive to sleeping! :blink:I had a fill 1 week ago bringing me to 6.5 in a 10 cc band. My restriction seems like it is good and the way it is supposed to be. I am not eating anything that is overly gassy.

Anyone else having this problem and any solutions..I tried Gas X but it did not help.

I burp all the time. I burp constantly. Tonight my daughter told me my burping is really bothering her because it's so loud. I can only conclude that there is something about the band that traps air. Every time I take a drink of Water ( I never drink anything but water) I burp about 3 times.

I have friends that are banded and they say they burp all the time too.

Sorry, I don't have any advice. It's something that seems to go with being banded.

I was burping all the time too. I went to my doctor and had an exray taken not because of the burping , but because I was having a lot of trouble eating anything. I was afraid that I had slipped. Well nothing was wrong, but the doctor couldn't get over how big of an air bubble I had in my tummy. He asked me if I burped a lot. I said yes all the time. He gave me a complete unfill. I think it was because of not being able to get food down though, not the burping. He did say that the air bubble would go away on its own. I still burp every time I get food stuck....yes I still get food stuck even with no fill; but at least I can eat food and I usually get to keep it down.

I have an issue with burping a lot as well, but they're not "regular burps", they are small, in the back-of-the-throat type of burps... little ones but one every few seconds. Not sure if that makes any sense or not. The more restricted I am, the more it happens. For now I've just been ignoring it.

Thank you all for the responses. Mary, that happens to me also with the little burps. They don't bother me though, just the constant long loud ones. Finally, I have gotten some relief. I wound up taking the maximum of Gas X which is 8 strips in a 24 hr period. Now today the awful burping has subsided. I think my husband was about to scream. I know it was getting annoying to him because it was annoying me plus it kept waking him up :(

P.s. I was also using a straw for the first time and for the last 2 days and my band friend told me that could cause extra gas... who'd a thunk it?

Thanks,

Alfie :(
