Starbucks..what do you order??

Recommended Posts

Jachut- That is such an interesting perspective! I notice lots more people taking their drinks to go. In NY the Starbucks' cup is almost a form of fashion accessory, with everybody schelping one around (myself included). You can tell the season by the type of cup in everyones hand. I even noticed that they started to make a reusable form of their clear plastic cup made out of durable plastic and are selling it for $14.

I don't usually do Starbucks, but the other day I got an iced coffee (black coffee on ice) and it was $2.79. Robbery.

By the way, Jachut, I agree on both the gum chewing and the slurping from a huge paper cup.

Not a coffee drinker, but I am quite fond of my venti low-fat green tea frappucino, no whip!

Somone did you wrong!! I don't even pay for the for my double shot over ice - think maybe 1.89 which is still robbery.

This is my favorite and I only have it about twice a month: Venti iced house coffee with 5 pumps of white chocolate mocha.

I love green tea frappacinos but they are really fattening.

I saw someone get one of those the other day - it was frozen. I'm so tempted but I heard they are high in everything - fat, calories, and sugar.

Okay, I had to throw in my two cents here....I love the frapps at starbucks...My favorite is strawberries in cream...But when the make it I ask them to make it light, and I always get a tall size (small). Not all starbucks will do it...But the one at my college hooks me up!! I don't do it everyday, but maybe once a month or every two months. Also for a warm drink I like the sugar free skinny latte with carmel and vanilla shots...MMmmm so yummy!

My favorite is a tall non-fat carmel machiatto. I don't really care for the sugar free Syrup. I only go to Starbucks once or month if that often.

When I go, it's the Venti Skinny (nonfat, sugar free, no whipped cream) Mocha, iced, Decaf. 120 cals + I get my milk.

It makes a decent-enough Breakfast in a hurry because you get 10 grams Protein without all the other crap. The only sugars and carbs are from the milk. It's not substantial enough for every day, but it's better thank skipping altogether. And because I get decaf, my hunger isn't goaded into reappearing later.

I heard that they are discontinuing the already-short-lived SF Mocha, so I bought a bottle and have it behind their counter with my name on it. :(

Two other options I like are brewed coffee, either black or with a little nonfat milk, or iced green tea, unsweetened.

I am a Starbucks Junkie!! I use to go every day and at my highest point I was having two venti iced drinks a day. I really like the Skinny latte's either hot or cold. My new craving is the Black Shaken Iced tea with sweet-n-low. I had 3 of them yesterday.....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
