Dr. Means in Pittsburgh

Anyone had surgery with Dr. Means at UPMC St. Margarets? I am scheduled to have my surgery with him on 1/6/09. I really liked his seminar and he seems to know his stuff. If you had him for your surgery, let me know about your experience with him.

Thanks.

hi paula,

I didnt have Dr. Means. However, I am from the pittsburgh area. I went to Magee Hospital and had Dr. Carol Mcloskey. She was great. But i only saw her on apts. Its kinda just me do it alone. I went to all the meetings pre-surgery. And I was banded in april. I have lost about 23lbs. Its slow going and i admit its a little frustrating. I have my secound fill on june 24. I have read that sometimes it takes sometime before the fill actually kicks in. I do eat less, but still a little more hungry than I hoped. I have no regrets, and I am focused on going on and doing better. I wish you luck. And hope for the best for you.

That is what I like about Dr. Means' office. They are so hands-on. Love them.

23 pounds is GREAT! I can't wait to lose that much. Keep up the good work.

Paula
