  1. Yes, I am in the Wheeling area and have been searching for someone in our area that does this. Anyone know? Thanks, Paula
  2. That is what I like about Dr. Means' office. They are so hands-on. Love them. 23 pounds is GREAT! I can't wait to lose that much. Keep up the good work. Paula
  3. Thank you everyone. You are a blessing to me because right now I'm a bit terrified of this. I'm so afraid that I'll eat wrong and won't lose the weight. But, after reading many posts on here, I am feeling a little better about it. And...I'm looking forward to going through this process with others that will be on the same schedule as me. :wink2:
  4. Hi, I'm Paula. I am 39 and ready and waiting for my lab band surgery. It's scheduled for 1/7/09. I began my journey in February, attending the seminar, and it took me until 6/3/08 to get up the nerve to call to schedule my appointment with Dr. Means (UPMC St. Margarets in Pittsburgh). So...they scheduled all my tests and even gave me the surgery date. Of course I have to complete the required 6 months weight counseling and the psychological evaluation as well. After reading several posts on here, I know that this is the right decision for me. I cannot wait to have this done and start living a healthier life. I am married with 3 children (3,5,7) so they keep me pretty busy. It'll be nice to weigh less so that I can keep up with them. I am looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you. Paula
  5. Anyone had surgery with Dr. Means at UPMC St. Margarets? I am scheduled to have my surgery with him on 1/6/09. I really liked his seminar and he seems to know his stuff. If you had him for your surgery, let me know about your experience with him. Thanks.
  6. What about the Girls Gone Wild Band Wagon?
