Kurby I read Lapband Companion -- good infor but you get the same info from here and your surgeon - but I recommend getting all the info before surgery that you can.

Hoping Laura posts soon about her DF's results from PET scan.

See you all tomororw - I'm beat.

fly by ladies....can't read the posts, my eyes are red and tired.

My sister leaves tomorrow around noon. I'll take her to the airport and then who knows when we will see her again. I have some very mixed feeling about this but am too busy with work, parties, and travel to deal with it. So when I get a chance to think, I'll work on it.

Have a great night.

Hi All,

Does any one have any prozac to share? My DD is going to drive me to drink soon. Moving Co doesn't want to come until Mon now so that throws a monkey wrench into the plans. She only gets half the info, can't seem to prioritize crap. Do they ever grow up?

Ok hopefully I got that out of my system now. I am reading Dr Laura Schlessinger's book called "Stop whining, Start Living" It's pretty good, makes you stop and think how it all fits into your life. I am trying to put into practice some of the things she says with the situation right now. ughhhhhhhhh

Not sure I can do Vegas in Oct as that is the 1st of our fiscal year here at work. I'll see what I can do, I can kill two birds with one stone on that trip, meet all of you fantastic ladies and see DD.

I can say my weight loss has stalled, not losing for a while, after this trip I am hitting it hard. It's amazing how one extra person can throw life off kilter.

Take care, have a great day

Good Morning Gang

Laura hugs on DD issues - yep they don't think ahead or get all the info..

Eva - I just want pple to choose which hotel - that's it and then we will each separately reserve our rooms - easier than trying to collect $$$..

Well fly by - gotta hit the showers...

I really like the Monte Carlo and it's convenient, but if that's difficult for Jodi, I vote for another strip hotel and not the Vegas Hilton it sits so far back off the strip. New York looks nice and I've heard the Luxor is really different with it's slanting walls. DH stayed at a new one called Aria a few weeks ago said it was really neat but I think it might be pricey. How many nights are we talking? 2 or 3??

Laura, I wonder the same thing about my adult children all the time, do they ever grow up? There's just no follow through with my kids or sense of urgency. Due dates are just suggestions etc. Of course, I always think I did something wrong raising them but know it's their own choices now.

Eva, hope you get things sorted out with your sister issues. One nice thing about moving away from CO is I am away from the extended family issues. LOL Not that DH's sister hasn't pulled a few stunts via email already. LOL

Well my concrete guys didn't show yesterday. I am not sure if I misunderstood or what. DH is going to try calling them again today. They came highly recommended and seemed really good to work with, we have not paid any money yet though.

Will try and get a pic of the hail car, not sure how well the damage will show on a pic. I never think of it as the car is never here during the day when I do think of it.

I am still here. Just been reading lately. Not to much going on with me. I am really bored sitting at home all day. I can't take my son to the pool right now because of his bowels issues. I think later today we will go to the park though.

I am not making the best choices in food lately. I am just in a funk right now. I am getting nervous about school. I had a hard time last semester and the next one will be twice as difficult with clinicals. I just need to get a grip.

Since everyone seems to be looking at single rooms, check out Riveria -- it's at $79 per night -- it's kinda between the strip and downtown area -- says it's newly rennovated -- just thought I'd throw it out there. Tropicana is old but is on strip - that's $71. Also Mandalay Bay has a GREAT pool area it's $160 per night but I've ALWAYS wanted to stay there for that pool - hear it's fabulous - would prefer to share a room if we stay there (Janet I could share with you -- DH still smokes in all our hotel rooms so I can handle smoke if that's your concern but also understand if it's quiet and privacy you are seeking). I'll stay where ever everyone else wants to stay I'm pretty easy -- Most of the casinos have shuttles to other casinos and some to the malls -- there's also that new train or above ground subway transportation on the strip.

Laura, hugs on DD issues, but I can meet you any night next week -- no problem for me.

Jessica, get out of your funk -- get up and move or come on here and post -- do anything to get your mind occupied and to quit thinking about food -- this is when it's the hardest. Hugs. HOpe the medicine is helping your DS.

Lori, hope you get those concrete guys there soon - honestly do ANY contractors show up when they're supposed to? I get so infuriated with things like that.

I stayed at the Stratosphere a few years ago. It is old, but clean and cheap. . The slots were loose. I won two Jackpots on the same machine.....Haywire. I loved the restaurant that rotates at the top.

I wish I could go with y'all. I have a new grandbaby coming and I will be keeping my two year old GD. We are going to Las Vegas the week before Thanksgiving. Boo!!!!!! If y'all go again in 2011 let me know early so I can plan it.

Lori, what do you know about the Mirage? That is where we are staying.

Janet, I did a shake for Breakfast, but I am doing tuna for lunch.....then a shake for dinner. I just know they will make me weigh again tomorrow.

Well gals, I could only go so long without shopping. I went exploring just a little bit today. I found a TJMaxx close to me. I've heard you gals talk about them before but one was never close to me, they had them in Denver but not by me. I found a Jones NY knit cardigan type lightweight to put on when I am always cold and another shirt that is a little wild for me (zebra print) but thought what the heck. I'll bring it to Vegas! Also at Target I saw the Champion pants you gals like. Question, which fit do you get? They had I think fitted, relaxed and semi fitted or something like that. There were 3 different ones and I was confused. LOL

Re: Vegas rooms. Part of me wants to share to keep the cost down, but part of me is scared to death to share with someone. I went on a gals trip on a cruise once (actually a Richard Simmons cruise to Lose) and my room mate went on and on to everyone that would listen about how I snored. I vowed to never share again I am so concerned about that. DH says I don't snore since losing weight but I don't trust him. So guess I will go my own room. I looked at airfares today, really cheap so am going to book a confirmed flight so I don't have flight hassles like I did for FL and then couldn't go. I stayed at the Riviera years ago, it wasn't real nice but I understand it's been renovated so not sure probably nicer now.

Arlene, Mirage is a beautiful hotel but I've never seen their rooms I am sure they are nice.

Well my concrete guy called. Seems yesterday he dropped his phone in a bucket of Water, hence to returned phone calls and he didn't have our number but in his phone. We had a huge windstorm here yesterday so that put them behind a day, he's going to try and get here this afternoon to form it if not first thing in the mornign and they will pour on Sat. morning. Guess there was lots of wind damage around town on the news last night, 50 to 60 mph winds. One of my patio chairs is now in my window well, just glad it didn't bust the glass when it blew down there.

We are staying at the Escalipur on July 1. It is only 43 and change for 1 king size bed. I can let you know how the rooms are. Look good on line. Only thing I see is it is at the end of the strip away from downtown but close to the airport.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
