Apples, way to go on getting those plants in the ground. Now tomorrow I expect the rest of them in, watered good & their pretty little faces looking up to the sun. lol

Phyl, I agree you rock. Salute away at the idiots....

Jessica, to bad about your leg. You will make it, just a little speed bump, but watch out for Phyl.

As to the question of the day, I'd say I'm a good listener and giver.

LauraK..all my little plants are tucked in and already have happy little faces. They love the care I have given them so far. Even the ones that are not planted yet are happy. They are in their temporary home in the garage in that back of my truck.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful personal traits. And, good traits they are!

Phyl, you ROCK ... sometimes you just gotta SALUTE... it was defensible:thumbup:
Phyll...I have done the "1 Finger Wave" a few times in my years on the road. Last time I did it DH was with me and I guess is was lecture time cuz I certainly got one. "Some day you are going to meet up with the wrong person. They will run you off the road and you'll never come home again". I explained to him that you have to have respect for others on the road and she deserved the respect I gave her. So did your little speed bump avoiding Chickie-Poo.

Oh...and thanks for the kudos on junking up the thread and missing me...awww

Yeah, I've had a LOT of frustrating experiences cruising around the neighborhood on my scooter, but this one takes the all time prize!! People do NOT respect pedestrians, pedestrian cross walks, the "WALK" light at intersections, etc. One every day happening is drivers turning right when the walk light is on and I am waiting to cross. As it is, as soon as you start across the street the walk light goes off and the warning light starts blinking! Then you have people who want to turn in front of you... either wait or they'll run over you!

Phyll...your gym membership reminds me of the computer with all the bells and whistles I am using and the 24 inch flat screen I am looking at. Called our favorite little computer guy about a year ago stating we wanted to upgrade. Farm is buying it (always love it when it's not my dollar) so I ordered it up, plus some extras. Well, to this day we have not paid for it.

Little guy came out and spent a bit of time transferring info, setting up, etc. When leaving said he would send a bill. After not getting an invoice the first month, called his office...said it would get sent. Second month, the same...this went on until March of this year. I gave up. I just ordered this thing up without asking for a price cuz I trusted him to install just what we needed...and, of course, the extras I requested.

Handed the situations over to DH in March. He got his "Goin' To Town" jeans and boots on and went in for a visit and took the checkbook. "We'll get back to you on it". Huh???????

FUNNY!

Yeah, I'm more than ready to sign up if they'd just ask me!! They've already given me 2 of the 3 complimentary personal trainer consults that come with membership! And the rate for Seniors is only $25 a month. And they said they'd put me on month to month since we're "snowbirds" and suspend my membership until we get back in the spring. What more could I ask!??

Phyl, I agree you rock. Salute away at the idiots.... Jessica, to bad about your leg. You will make it, just a little speed bump, but watch out for Phyl.

HAHAHA!!

Yeah, y'all watch out for me on those speed bumps!!

Jewel......so sorry for your injury. I hope you recover quickly.

Peaches.....you sound like a real peach. That is southern for a real nice person.

Joyce.....yuk! I hate picking up after people that should pick up after themselves.

Phyl.....Jesus knows our finger gets out of control sometimes......He forgives us. I am just glad you didn't get hurt.

Apples......my best personality trait......I am like Peaches.....loyal almost to a fault. I have friends that have crapped on me from time to time, but if they call for help........I am there! Then I have friends who are gems.....like you and the band gang.

Lori.....I wish you had a better day with Grandma. The older we get the less we like change. It will take time for her to adjust. She is gonna miss you. You have been such a giving grandchild. God will raise up another to help her. I know this is so hard for you too. Prayers and Hugs going your way!

Janet.....did I miss you today?

Julie.....get well soon?

Melissa......how's it going this week?

I will check in tomorrow after my weigh in. I wish I could weigh in the morning.......Oh well, wishing ain't gonna change a thing.....it is still at high noon.

Arlene...just wanted to wish you luck at your weigh-in tomorrow. And, loyalty is a great trait. Just gotta watch so others do not take advantage of your good intentions. Can't wait to hear the good news on what your doc's scale reads tomorrow. Good luck. You're a trooper!

1st of all - how in the hell am I suppose to catch up with 3 pages !!!!! lol you girls :0) I love it !!!

In person - I'm not approachable as I have been told ;0) by my trainer - but again he think he knows everything..

And that part of him is really starting to bug me - he doesn't understand addiction period - to him it's just as simple as saying no... Well it's not that simple - he told me I was crazy yesterday cuz I play head games with myself that I could have don't this w/o lapband - had I made up my mind - that there are tons of pple who lose the weight on their own and gain it back - and as we all know that the lapband is no guareteen not to gain it back - With him everything is black/white and his way of thinking - I know I think I know everything too - but I beleive in diff ways too..

I don't have the energy to aurgue w/him - cuz no matter what you say he has something to counter it - and just like having a dh or should I say not having one - I don't have the energy to debate the issue w/him - cuz I am not going to change his mind - so why waste my breath..

Yes - I have maintained my weight loss for almost 3 yrs now but who knows - tomorrow I could say f it and go back to my old ways... And if being afraid of doing that keeps me on the straight and narrow - then so be it.. I'm crazy..

Great - I told you already calories don't count on your bday - glad you enjoyed your Day !!!

The house stuff will work out

I'm like your grandma - some days nothing makes me happy and yes she is most likely sad about you leaving and having to deal w/your mom - on her own..

Hugs - I know this is going to be hard on you emotionally - we are here for you....

Jessica - We aren't suppose to take anything other than tyenol - liquid perferabley - I take aleve or ibpronien every now and then (1 or 2 a year) but I do it on an empty stomach so that it can past thru the pouch and go directly into my stomach - they don't want it sitting in your pouch -

It's best to stay away from them all together..

Hugs on not being able to work out - I hear you on that one - but you have to baby the leg - so follow doc order - can you still walk or ride a bike or swim??

I agree w/everyone - you are our little butterfly !!! you have come out of your cocoon !!!!

Joyce - so I take it you found some :0) - I found it when I was at Walmart a few weeks ago - I agree 67 you shouldn't have to be working - but girl you don't look 67 - you look like 50 in your fb pic - its larger and I can see it better w/my 55 yr old eyes :0)

[

Laura - WTG on the gym - better than me - had to go to the bank after work on estate stuff and stupid sis DEMANDING to be added on ...

Charlene - how much are you walking =- why doesn't biking count??

Julie - Hugs - get to the doctor..

Phyl - You are good at conversating !!! WTG at the gym !!!OMG Phyl - I would have done more than give her the finger !!

Melissa how are you doing w/your plan !!!!

Peaches - Aren't we lucky that you are so loyal - you are a great person - you are so fun to be with and so full of knowledge - a very smart woman...

Apples = I get told that too - but I still flip them off ;0) - I think I'm a bad ass - lol

LauraK - I can tell you are a very very sweet woman... I can't wait until we get to meet in person....

Ok it's taken me I don't know how long to write this - gotta go put my dinner in the oven - cbl

no more junking up for a few... ;o)

Janet - thank you for the compliment. We all need them.

Peaches - re: personality traits - very quick wit and bright, fast mind. A motivator and hard working, goal directed. And tired, now that I'm older.

It is a great challenge to us all to take a look at our strengths. Not bragging, just acknowledging what God gave us.

Karen - way to go on the planting. Will enjoy all summer.

sleep well, ladies. Sweet dreams.

Hi ladies..........I can't sleep, but at least I can sit up again..... DD had the bug and must have shared.... Only I didn't throw up or have the runs....... Terrible pains in my stomach............a bad headache and very dizzy.... barely made it to the bathroom during the night cuz I was so dizzy...... Have lost lots of Water weight as I haven't been able to eat or drink much.... So, we all know that will come back, but it was nice to see 271 on the scale this morning.... 3 pounds in one day..... wouldn't that be the way to go.... I just realized I can't do this very long yet, so better hurry.....

Apples, I'm quite organized and very good with numbers...... I like helping people and I believe I am a good and faithful Christian friend...... Thank goodness you didn't ask for our worst traits!!!!!! I have lots....

If I am up to the drive I have my nerve testing tomorrow morning in Bismarck..... Only takes 30 minutes they said... wonder how it works..... I am on so many medications now that I don't know what to take and what not to take..... But I haven't had a serious pain attack since GP put me on lidocain and muscle relaxors... So don't really know if the epidural shot is working or not,... I'm a bit afraid to test the waters and reduce meds, but this flu helped me with a bit..... couldn't get some of them down....

I can't remember alot of the stuff that is going on, but I do remember Jessica hurt herself and has to quit running... I sympathize and understand... I had to quit any exercise earlier and things just won't let me get back to it at all yet.... Maybe we'll both be better before long...

Lori, I agree with the rest about GM

Laura, sorry to hear about dad..... take care..

Phyll, you go girl...

Arlene, good luck tomorrow....

I love you all but have to stop now and lay down.... Hope you all are doing well............Hugs and Prayers..... Julie

Good Morning...

OK...so, since Julie brought it up....I'll tell you guys my worst trait. IMPATIENCE. It is something I work on daily and really try to keep in check.

I remember being 5 yrs old and regonizing that I did not appreciate having this personality flaw. I want everything organized and everything done NOW. I guess it was somewhat of an advantage when I was out and in the "real world" and had my own business. Now, if I was impatient and threw demanding in with it, it would not have worked. Thank goodness being demanding is not something in me...I wouldn't have lasted. I was able to present the work to be done in a kind manner so I got the results I wanted. Do the same when it comes to family life and things getting done around here. I guess I am more impatient with myself than I am others. Thanks for the topic of the day, Julie!

Hope you can get to your appt tomorrow and hope today finds you feeling much better.

Janet...I have been a Crystal fan from the first time she walked out on stage. But, Lee out-shined her by quite a bit last night. I guess I never really noticed Lee much at first but he has really come out of his shell and is most likely going to run with the title. He's such a cute kid and seems so genuine. Not real hug talent this year. Never did like Caseys shakey voice but he also seems like a cute/nice kid.

Up early and got the last of my 75 or so plants in the ground. So pretty. Tomorrow need to do the same at the lake place. 600 acres remaining to be planted to soybeans. DH and DS are running on fumes but that is the way it is during planting season. Not much sleep but they are such farmers that they thrive on that "high" farmers get.

I am pretty sure I will be leaving for the lake tomorrow. Out to dinner with friends and a road trip for Friday. Three of us. My GF and I have a cute little guy friend. He's late 70's and wanted to take us girls to a casino for the day. He loves to sleep in so will most likely not get a start until 11am or so. He's so smiley and cute and just fun to be around. The casino makes him happy and he does not like to go alone so we will make it a day with him. I am really looking forward to our time with him.

Lots to do around here today so I can leave tomorrow. I am sure not missing the extra mouths to feed this year and am enjoying my "me" time. Talk to you all later.

I used to volunteer with 7-12 grade kids when we had those days in town. We would take care of senior resident's yards and get them spiffed up. We took our lawn tools, etc., hopped on the school bus and went around town a few days each year. Was a great way to get to know the kids and still have elderly friends from those days.

Have fun on you outing on Sat. Been calm, stand straight, shoulders back...exude confidence and smile. (Sounds like a lot of work to me). Just try to be as relaxed as can be and have fun.:w00t:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
