Well I made it

Went in yesterday at 7:15am and was home by 3:30pm!

All is going well, the gas pain yesterday was the worst, but gasX is a good friend. Feeling pretty good today, drinking lots of Water, not hungry at all but sipped down an EAS shake.

So far so good! Glad to be on the other side of the fence :)

Welcome to Bandland, Bwhitty! Keep on walking to relieve the gas. Follow all your doc's rules and keep a positive attitude. Recipe for success.

Make sure to keep checking in with us and let us know how you are doing. Congrats on your big step to a new and healthier life and lifestyle.

:lol:Well Girls,

I tell you I just am sitting here cracking up:lol:!

Congradulations! 1000 pages:thumbup:!

Just shows ya where there is a will there could be a lot of junk! LOL

I hope in another 1000 I know you all as well as you know each other!

Way to make my morning!

Back to the real stuff, i am going to try to walk twice again today. I walked a total of 70 minutes yesterday, and I got a diploma from about.com for having completed my 10 week walking program! I feel kinda proud....also nsv I started out in xxl sweats and now am in xl stretch pants, the next pair will be large, and that will be pretty soon, because the ones I wear are loosening up after two wears! YEAH:thumbup:!

It is looking a little overcast here so we might just get that rain forecasted for the weekend.

That is all for now...

some pics of my walk yesterday:

Hmmmm..... why does that look SO familiar????

Oh, yeah.... that's where we're going in a few days!!

Nice pics!

Dear Apples: Thanks for your reply. I am doing this for me, me, me! I too need to lose 130 pounds to be at my ideal goal weight and I will do it. It's so encouraging to see all these success stories. Were you banded or did you have the gastric bypass? I am being banded on Monday and am very excited ... and somewhat nervous. Keep in touch!

Csolo...I had band surgery in June, 2008. The entire process was pretty much a good one for me. I have mega energy and feel wonderful.

Please check in with us after your surgery (b/4 if you want to talk) and let us know how you are doing. We can help you along the way and are willing to do so. Lots of experienced bandsters on this thread.

I'm excited for you. Enjoy your weekend.

We are up and running - but omg - going to have to relearn this whole site??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY APPLES !!!

No one can hold a candle to you. Happy Birthday!

Today is your day to shine as every day should be. Happy Birthday!

I hope that your birthday is as wonderful as you are.

God gave a gift to the world when you were born; a person who loves and cares, who sees a person's need and fills it, who encourages and lifts people up, who spends energy on others rather than himself, who touches each life he enters & makes a difference in the world. May the love you have shown to others return to you multiplied.

Don't count the years, count the blessings.

Wishing you a year filled with the same joy you bring to others.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
