I'm So Excited And I Just Can't Hide It!!!!

Ok if that doesn't get the song going through your head I don't know what will. I just found out that my approval went through Tri-Care and it's a go. I'm so happy to have such a good ending to a stressful day.

Let me tell you what happened...

Well this morning I called Tricare yet again to see if my referral has been approved. Of course it wasn't in the system. I then called my doctor's nurse to make sure it was put through and she told me that it was probably for a consult to general surgery there at the naval hospital. So I call general surgery and the nurse there told me that they made a mistake and people do not have to go through them to get referred out for WLS. I took a deep breath and then called my doc's nurse again and she said she would speak with the doc and let me know what he said by the end of business. Of course I didn't hear from her. For some reason I decided to call Tricare again to see if something was there. I was hoping it was atleast pending but the lady on the phone told me the best news...I was approved and a copy of the referral has been sent out to the appropriate people. :wink2:

I hope everything after this is a cake walk because just getting getting this referral was stress enough. :hand: It's ok I know in the end it will all be worth it. I can't wait until my hubby comes home so I can tell him the good news. I'M SO EXCITED I CAN'T STOP SMILING!

This is SUPER news...... I am excited for you.... Tricare is very fast at approving if you fall into the guidelines..... Took them less then a day for me!

CONGRATS...and yes... I have that song stuck in my head now....LOL!!

Congratulations!!! My final paperwork was just submitted yesterday by the surgeons office and it was approved today. So I finally got a surgery date!

That's awesome. I'm am happy for you. I am waiting approval but my paperwork was just sent in yesterday and it takes about two weeks with Aetna. Oh by the way, I love your dog. I have a black pom named Sebastian. He's about the same size. Not to get off the subject but how does he do with his hair shaved like that? I shaved mine and it took a year for his hair to grow back. It grew back in patches.

Anyway, I am very happy for you. CONGRATS!!!

WOW! That's record time that you guys are getting approved. Hopefully Aetna doesn't take too long. I'm anxious!!!

Wow you are the first person to realize he's a pom. Most people think he's a chiququa (sp?). He does fine. He's had his fur shaved before and it grew back great. He had that done about a month ago and he's starting to have it grow back slowly. I don't think we'll do that cut again though. He looks like he has a huge head. LOL

I'm going to the seminar on Thursday and from there I'll get all the numbers for the people I have to contact for the appointments prior to getting my surgery date. I know I have to go through all this but man. I just hate waiting and I always get nervous when I go to the doctor.
