How the surgery is done?

This might be a weird question, but do you have to be completely naked when going in for the surgery? Are you able to keep your underwear on? A bra? Anything besides a hospital gown? I heard they do it with you standing up, but then how do they put you to sleep?

I wore a hospital gown with nothing on underneath it, except some booties for my feet. I was also covered up by the surgery drapes. I was a sleep also.

After having two kids, I lost all sense of modesty and have no problem exposing myself to hospital personnal.

What a funny thread. The things everybody wants to know but everyone is afraid to ask. I did actually LOL because I was thinking about this too (yes guys worry about stuff like this too) especially potentially stark naked fat guys worried if they will get a catheter stuck in their:eek::w00t::eek::rolleyes::ohmy::frown::mad::sneaky::angry::)

Ouch!!!!

It hurts just thinking about that.

I had a gown on and some hospital mesh knickers but when I woke up the mesh knickers had gone! They gave me them back later on and I put them on. I stayed overnight in the hospital and although I had taken PJs in I stayed in the gown and mesh knickers as I was far too dopey to care about anything like that!

Love the nono places too!:w00t:

I was indeed upright and he did the surgery from between my legs..Didn't know this until I got into the OR.I about said let me outta here, and I had a male nurse..gown and booties only..Did NOT like the idea of being upright or doc being down there, but wasn't like I was awake to care anyway..
