  9. I love my band,I love my weight loss but God how i wish i could sit down and eat a hearty big steak or a big bowl of pasta.I miss my food so much. Dont get me wrong,i dont regret what ive done because eating like that was how i got morbibly obese in the first place, but it doesnt mean i dont miss it. i am so sick of pbing after each meal and things getting stuck and hurting, but i still wouldnt go back to the way i was,im just needing to vent. lol
  10. hi,after my last fill 3 weeks ago,i had the same problem (even posted it on here, asking for help myself),was very scary especially when i couldnt even hold down fluids but it did eventually loosen up.By the second day i was able to drink fluids, not in big gulps but in small frequent sips, and if that fails you could try sucking on ice blocks or icypoles,or even a wet face washer if you dont want to get an unfill, like i didnt. i will say though, after 3 weeks i am still having problems eating which really frustrates me,especially when im hungry, and i am having my hair falling out and bruising which i know is not good, but i am being able to keep small amounts down now.unlike when i first got the fill. I have got 6.2 in my band now and have heaps of restriction. Im not saying this is the way to go,but its the way i chose and all the best to you.
  11. after 4th fill, lost alittle to start off with but losing alot since 4th fill
  12. after 4th fill, lost alittle to start off with but losing alot since 4th fill
  13. you'll be fine.I didnt start losing until after my 4th fill so you are doing well.also dont worry about slippage, ive heard you really vomit heaps when that happens so unless you are which you said your arent,i wouldnt worry.xx
  14. ive told everyone vecause i believe that i have more of a chance of sucess because i wont cheat it if i know everone is watching everything i put in my mouth
  15. hi guys, just thought id let you all know that today i feel heaps better!,its amazing but it has seemed to loosen up somehow and i was able to keep alittle cereal down this morning for breakfast, soup for lunch and some pureed pasta for dinner.I am still throwing alittle up ate eat feed but nothing like i was,and i can now drink too which was my major concern. I am still very tight and i can feel every little bit going down but am able to get it down which i am so greatful for.The pain in my chest has gone and so has the headache so I want to thank everyone who replied to me as your advice was greatly appreciated. Lunabean-your idea about the yoghurt is such a good one and i will be sure to use that at my next fill because i agree that they need to use something thicker than water. Donnainva-i am also going to listen to your advice and not let myself get a fill on a thursday or friday, even though my doctor does it on all week days,i will try my best to get a fill only at the start of the week. klutzyazhel-i know i have too many fills for such a short amount of time but i am my own worst enemy and kept going for more and more fills in the quest to get skinny. But now ive experienced the effects of rushing this too quickly and have decided to slow down and think of my health and children before being stupid again because i really got scared this time. and for everone else,i again thankyou for taking the time to reply to me,your help and concern really helped me get through this and i really appreciate it.xx
  16. Hi,thanks for your replies it is greatly appreciated,I have tried to drink a cup of tea this morning and i couldnt keep it down at all,but I will try again and see if that helps,i have also tried to ring my doctors office but to no avail,so i guess ill have to wait until tomorrow. i have tried pincing my skin and see if it bounces back like suggested and it did so i dont think im dehydrated yet,i just feel so crappy and sore in the chest. oh well,i will try to have a cuppa and see how i go and ill get back to you thanks again cindie
  17. Hi I had my 5th fill on friday afternoon and since then i havent been able to keep anything down, including fluids. I thought it may loosen up as it has done previously after a few days, but it hasnt and im in so much pain. I have a really bad burning sensation in my chest and throat and my mouth keeps watering like i want to vomit when i havent eaten and when ever i do try to eat or drink,i am vomiting constantly until everything is back up. I have never experienced this before, only the occasional pb when i eat the wrong type of food, but this is absolute hell. And being a sunday,i wont even be able to contact my doctor until at least tomorrow and then it depends when he can fit me in to when i can get an unfill. I have 6.2 cc's in a 10 cc band. I feel so weak and i have a major headache but the burning sensation in my chest is the worst. i tried to drink a protein shake for breakfast and couldnt even keep that down. any suggestions for what i can do to relieve this until i see the doc would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance cindie
  18. im one with tight restriction during that time of month, have it right now and its really peeing me off because i am pbing everything.
  19. That is sooo true,I was in so much pain for the first 3 days after surgery too and all i could think of was that nobody told me the pain would be so bad or else i wouldnt have done it!,but that being said,4 weeks later,i am so glad i did do it.Its abit like childbirth, you think the pain is so bad and you will never do it again, but 2 years down the track youre trying for another baby because the pain seemed all worth it and thats the same with this. it will get better...i am such a sook when it comes to pain and i carried on a treat straight after surgery, but now it really does seem worth it. you'll get there,by day 3-4 things will seem so much better, believe me it will,i promise you take care cindie
  20. hi i was banded 28th jan this year by jason winnett at williamstown hospital. i was on the public waiting list for 18 mths and the op didnt cost me a cent, just my drs visits do!! was worth the wait!! cindie
  21. i have the pain too,and in the same spot.I am three weeks post op and was wondering myself what it was.kind of like a stitch but in my back more
  22. dont worry, my doctor said you could eat as many soups as you like post op,because they are very low in fat and wont damage anything. you'll be fine
  23. i know what you are going through, its day 15 for me and i remember how much pain iwas in for about 3 days after...it was horrible..if i knew how much pain id be in i dont think i would have ever got it done. Now i feel good,i think differently of course but the first few days were horrible. it does get better...every day you'll feel alittle better and by day 4 you should be feeling like you can walk properly again.I couldnt even lie down with out it hurting like hell, listen to your body and if you want to sleep,..sleep,there is plenty of time for weight loss when you feel better and dont worry about not feeling hungry..i didnt eat properly for about a week post op but then my appetite came back with a vengence lol.. hang in there, you'll be fine
