Pre-op diet and weight loss prior to surgery

I was wondering if anyone else is struggling with their pre-op diet. I have been so good and following this diet but after 1 week I don't see a big difference. All of the scales I have weighed on are different readings. My home scale and the dr office scale was +/- 5 lbs. I am so afraid that if I dont loose any weight he wont do the surgery. I was thinking of turning in my H&P and lab work directly to his office tomorrow so that I could jump on the scale and figure out the difference between the two.

Is your doctor requiring you to lose weight? Unless he specifically instructed you to lose weight, that's really not what the pre-op diet is for.
