Does anyone know if the system "does" notify of responses? I thought I selected to be notified if there were responses but haven't had one notification. I've gone back and discovered that I had some.

Also, I keep getting "bumped" off for lack of a better term...I log in and go to something and find out I'm not logged in...anyone else have this problem? I've been on for about an hour and had to re-log in about five times.

Thanks...I'll just check back when I post. It's probably my end anyway...they filter a lot here.

Hi Deb, several of us have mentioned that this place seems "off" at times... who knows why?

I, too, wish I could be more help... maybe one of the moderators could give you a better idea.

when are you getting banded?

Wish I had something helpful to say, but I really don't know much about this software. I do know that the e-mail notification has worked, because there were complaints from one or two people who were not able to turn it off! Maybe it got turned off altogether? I'll try to do some testing to see if I can find anything out.

I was getting email notice when a response had been posted to a thread I had viewed, then all of a sudden it stopped. About two weeks ago, out of no where or any adjustments to my profile, they started up again. Since I check here many times a day, I don't think I really need the notices now, oh well.

I turned off the instant notification when I left for surgery but still had tons of e-mails when I got back, so it didn't work. I do notice (and it says this) that if more than one person replies to a thread to which I am subscribed, I only get the next post, not subsequent posts...know what I mean? So if I don't go visit the thread after I have read the e-mailed post, I may miss some replies.

But it did NOT cancel my notifications when I asked it to. This system "burps" for a day or two every once in a while...don't know why. It is, however, the easiest to navigate massage board I have been on.

Well, good to know it isn't just me....senior moments can be scary!

Paula, answering your question....the 17th, god willing and the creek don't rise!

I have allergies and this is the WORST time of year here...I'm worried the sleeper (can't spell that other word) guy will put a nix on it if he hears me in the morning...I ALWAYs wake up congested from the drip all night...maybe I can sleep sitting up!

Wish me luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
