Had surgery about 36 hrs ago. This morning was the worst. If I have an urge to belch I get a hard cramping pain in my chest. Anyone else out there experience the same?

I was banded on the 10th of April and belching for me was terrible! All I can say is that it will get better. It will ease up... Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I had similar pains in my chest after surgery. I called my doctor and he wanted me to go to the ER to have a chest CT done to rule out a blood clot. Lucky for me it was just spasms in my esophagus and diaphram. To be safe you should call your doctor and see if he wants u to have a CT done. A blood clot is nothing to mess with. Hope all is well
