What is lapband to you.....

I have done so much soul searching about this whole journey and I have decided that I could compare the lapband to "clipnotes" from high school. To me it is just like that, you still have to do the work, but it makes the journey a little less difficult for you. I guess I am showing my age with the cliff notes LOL. I see lapband as a gate to my freedom from being fat! I am so ready to open the door to a happy, healthy life!! I dont have a date yet, but I just cant wait! I am ready to start living and quit just "existing"!!

cthomas...,

I don't know how old you are but they had them when I was in school too. I didn't use this forum until I was having problems about 7 months after my surgery and was searching for answers. I hadn't lost but gained back all the weight I lost on the pre-op diet. This forum has helped me a lot and I think I may have started to turn things around finally. You're lucky you started this prior to surgery because you learn more here than anywhere! Good luck to you on your journey, brandyII.

Hi:

The lap band calms the beast in my belly and it is my belly cop. I love my band.
