I'm not sure as I have not been banded yet, but I believe from what I have read that it is fairly common for a couple weeks.

Well, I am now banded and at home recovering. The doctor said their was nothing out of the ordinary for me except that he had to make seventh incision in me because of my size. I just got home a couple hours ago. Yesterday sucked but I am feel better today. I hope the rest of you did well too. Time to go take a nap I think.

Congratulations! I'm glad you are home resting. It was a lot easier for me once i got home. I'm on day 6 now and doing much better. Left shoulder pain is the biggest issue. The doctor said was normal for about 48 hours. But it still hurts when i yuan and sneeze. You get lost of rest and let me know how everything is going.

Thank You for your response.

P.S. By the way how do i put a tracker on mine?

I have been lucky in that I have not really had much shoulder pain but just plain gas pains.

To put a tracker on your signature all you have to do is click on someone else's and that will take you to the ticker website and then you set up your own ticker and it will give you the link to insert into your signature.

How is everyone else? I have a bad day yesterday. Today most of the swelling has gone down and I feel fairly normal. I do not feel like eating much. I was on Clear liquids through yesterday.

Today I am on liquids until Sunday when I can go to soft foods. Hope everyone is doing well.

I was banded on the 28th and that is my biggest complaint is the gas and burping. Let it come out naturally or I heard it can be very painful.

Yeah, I have noticed that I am not hungry yet either. I'm afraid that won't last long though. It would be really cool if it did though.

I was banded on April 28th and feeling pretty good. I am having pains in my chest area though. They're from my chest area to my throat. The doctor says it's probably gas. It's especially bad when I sit up. Does anyone else have this?

Just found this thread.

Got banded on the 28th, home on the 29th and still quite sore a little swollen. I can barely eat as I'm not hungry and the gas pains! oh the gas pains. Mine have settled into my back, not my shoulder.

It is a little weird being able to feel that all going on. My doctor says that it is just gas and will eventually subside.:cool2: Still not really hungry just eating to shakes and some Jello and of course Water (as much as I can get down).

I feel something similar to that once in a while too. It passes quickly for me though. I am actually feeling pretty good today. I am still taking the pain medicine but have decreased the dosage.

Yes Gingercat I am going stir crazy too! I was banded too on 4/28 and tired of these 4 walls... I did venture out to buy more broth, because I found out from my doctor that I was not drinking enough broth after surgery, mostly Protein shakes..

I'm still a little tired and not really ready to go back to work on Monday but gotta do it.. I will just take it slower... I am glad this gas is subsiding for the most part.

Haven't lost anymore weight but I know it is really do to inactivity... those vicodin kept me sleepy...lol. I've switched up to the jr. tylenols instead 160 mg ea. melt aways... so that I can drive soon, pls really don't need the vicodin. My incisions mostly itch..lol.

I'm glad that everyone is doing so well, and wish us all continued success! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
