Yes, I'm on the 28th too and nervous and excited together. I have been reading as much as I can but never seems enough.

Good Luck!

Yep, me too. :rolleyes2: 8:00am on the 28th to be precise. I am also quite nervous but right now I want to be done with the liquid diet so bad I would be happy to have it done today if I could!

Well guys/gals we only have a couple days to go! About 56 hours! Anybody getting excited or scared? I have to say I have a good dose of both of those.

I just got my date, but its not till june 24th. However I already got the nervous/excited feeling.

Will you folks report back when you get home after surgery?

Healthy is what I want too. My Dr. just has me on phase 1 of South Beach and after Breakfast nothing but liquids til midnight and then nothing.

Good Luck to all and I will be back on ASAP

I have been on a week diet of shakes twice a day and only Protein at dinner. Today, I started liquids only and will do that until midnight Sunday.

I will try to post as soon as I can after surgery. I want everyone to know as much as they can about the process. I hope to have a picture posted in a year that has the disclaimer "results not typical"

Yes I,m having lap band surgery on monday 28/04/08 pm :(

Personally cannot wait - see it as an end of a life-time of obesity!

And my 'new birthday' rolled into one. :grouphug:

Good Luck Everyone & best wishes for a painfree recovery....

Yes, I am being banded Monday too... My mom is still trying to talk me outta it, but I know my quality of life, will improve after I get it done!

I am tired of looking like i am going to keel over at any minute!

I lost 12 lbs already on the liquid diet (3 - 4 ensure's and broth w/ veggies per my doctor).

I wish us all the best of luck and prayers for a speedy and painfree recovery:thumbup:

Let's come back to this thread when we're up to it after we are banded. I'd love to encourage each other. Good luck to all of you and keep each other in your prayers.

My doctor doesn't have me going on liquids only until two days before surgery. My surgery is May 9th. Is that typical? I am very excited and very scared at the same time.

From what I have read on here the pre-op diet varies greatly. Some don't have to at all and some (like me) have at least a 10 day liquid diet.

Hello, This is my first post. I had my band on 04/24/2008. I am having alot of burping and gas. It this normal?
