I was wondering if anyone had any advice where I could look to find help writing an appeal letter for my insurance to cover the surgery.

My suggestion would be to make sure you show your family history of co-morbid conditions. I am not sure what your denial was for but if you could be any shorter get measured again. I am sure the obesity action coalition (sp) would be a great resource. I have seen things in my doctors from and one thing was a whole thing about insurnace and appeals. I am sure you could google insurance appeal letters and then drill down into obesity appeal letters.
