Wanted to introduce myself.........new to the group. I am 30 and have been banded since 12/06 but lost 43 pounds then got pregnant. My baby is 6 weeks old and I just got my fill today. I have 3.2 cc's in my band so I should have good restriction once I get off liquids. Ready to continue my weightloss journey. I wanted to find a group that can help keep me motivated!!!!!

Congratulations on the your new bundle of joy. I have not been banded yet and I was wondering how your pregnancy was with the band? I have a son . We would like to have another children. But I've put on too much weight and I was on bed rest with my son. So now I'm waiting for April 22, my surgery date. Good for you on your weight loss. Try to get some sleep:) - Kathleen

katkeen- my pregnancy was band wise was uneventfull. I had my band unfilled to 2.2 cc's from 3.7 cc's due to vominitting in the first trimester. My moringing sickness was pretty bad but after I got past that I was fine. Kept my fill down to 2.2 until yesterday. I gained alot so know just trying to get bakc to were i was. Once you get banded and lose some weight AND get pregnant...you will be fine. ANy other questions I will be glad to answer for you!!!!!!

The only thing I have heard is you must wait a year. Safety for you and the baby. I am looking forward to getting this weight off and having a thin pregnancy.

Hi Starbux Queen, One doctor told me to wait at least 6 months and other told me to wait at least 12 months the more weight you lose the better the pregnancy. - My Ob Gyn is totally supportive.... Thank goodness and I have not been banded yet and I see that you have d lost 21 lbs. Good for you that is awesome. How are you feeling so soon after your surgery? I hope your feeling well and have continued success obtaining your weight loss goals and goals of a thin pregnancy.- I'm there with ya!!!! I still can's get over the fact in 2 weeks, I'll be getting my band.... Take care, Kathleen

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
