Hello for Dallas, TX (Lakewood)

Hi, I'm new to the forum. My surgery has been scheduled for April 29th and my dr is Dr. Felts. I'm self paid because I don't have any insurance. On Tuesday, I'm suppose to have a Stress test, I'm a little bit nervous about the test, has anyone else had to do one? I'm looking forward to having a tool to help me be successful. :tt1:

Hi there!

I did have a stress test about a week before surgery. They put in an IV and injected a drug (the name... er... uh...) that simulated exercise. I was told it dilates all the veins in your body at once. I felt flushed and like I was supposed to give a big presentation without having prepared any notes ahead of time. It wasn't so bad. It only lasted about five minutes. Some stress tests involve a treadmill or exercise bike, but mine didn't.

Hi, I didn't have to have a stress test, but wanted to welcome you to LBT.
