I pray it will all work out for me so I can have the lap band surgery. But my question is about how many days would I have to be off work? Please if anyone knows please chat back. Average of five work days, some people need a few more.

And some less. I think it depends on a lot of factors, such as the physical demands of your job, pain tolerance, etc. I have read on here where some have gone back to work within 48 hours and some have been a week or more.

I had my band on 3-28-08 and was back at work in 5 days. If you have a job that requires a lot of lifting etc then you may have to go on lite duty.
