Ok so I submitted to insurance today... well my surgeon did... The request for preauthorization for LB. So what I am wondering is if you have or had an insurance that says they pay for it like mine does how long did it take them to give you pre auth if you supplied everything required?

Wonder if I am looking at more than the time my surgeon told me which was 10 BUSINESS days

I think it is a roll of the dice. A co-worker was approved in 3 weeks. We have the same insurance and mine took 11 weeks. They made me jump through quite a few hoops and there was a lot of back and forth....

The doctor's nurse called me today to tell me the same thing - she submitted all of my paperwork for approval and to call the insurance company in 10 days and starting hounding them.

Yippee!!!!

3 days for me to be approved - 2 days for my partner. We were quite suprised it happened so quickly.
