I'm feeling so much better today. I finally got some sleep. My fever and headache are both gone!! I took some liquid benedryl about an hour before I took my pain meds and that did the trick. Bonk....knocked out and able to sleep off and on for about 9 hours.

My goal for today is to get my liquids in. I am on a clear liquid diet the first week alternating chicken broth with juices every hour. I am tracking it so that I don' miss a meal. Ha, ha.....calling 2 oz of liquid a meal. That is a first for me.

Mom2bbb: I hope you are feeling stronger with each passing day. I have not had the gas pains at all today. I am taking my gas x strips regardless and tracking those also. My gas is slowly releasing itself and I am staying on top of it with the strips.

Maggielexie: Thanks for your support. Thank goodness my lowgrade fever is gone. Good girl, you are getting prepared with everything you will need prior to surgery. I am thinking about sending the hubby out for some liquid tylonol in case the headache comes back. (you may want to put that on your list just in case).

Hope2bhealthy: Gosh, sorry to hear about that lady at Target. Just when a line opens up for you and she has to dodge right in front of you? I probably would have told her something like "Oh hell no sister" and I would have dragged my tired body right to the front of that line. LOL I hope you are feeling better today. Keep yourself hydrated and get those liquids in.

Talkin Jack: It sounds like you are doing well and on your way. Wow, I didn't have an upper gi xray. My incisions look good so far.

Aladdinwy3: Wow, that was a horrific day you had. You are a tuff cookie after going through all of that and pulling a 9 hour shift the next day. And I noticed you are already in "onederland" with your weight at 199. Woo Hoo!! Good for you.

Wendy: You have done great with your weight loss. I'm sure that chasing two twins helps. I'm on day 2 post op so I can't help you with the hunger issue. I hope it gets better.

Okay....time for my next 2 oz feeding. LOL Yes.....it took an hour to post this as I lost my previous post somehow and had to start all over again. Bah, ha, ha, ha, ha.

well done alladin . . . . it's so helpful to read about what you've been drinking, etc. I have not yet had my surgery, it will be in another month but I think it's helpful now for me to start buying some of the liquid stuff that I can eat so that I have it all here for when I get home after my surgery.

You're doing extremely well, how exciting it must be for you. I wish I was where you're at right now, I'm so pumped to have the surgery!

Take care and don't overdo it!

Maggielexi

You are one very brave girl to go through this surgery with 9 month old twins at home! Congratulations --- you make me feel tired just thinking about what your days must be like.

Take good care of yourself!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
