Help me find my daughter a bathing suit, PLEASE!

Recommended Posts

I am hoping some of my LBT friends will be able to help me. My daughter is 15 and, as usual, we are having a terrible time finding her a bathing suit. In terms of pant sizes, she is a 8. But, she takes after her mom in the boobs and is a 34D. Like most teen girls, she wants to wear a two-piece bathing suit. I don't mind her wearing a bikini, but we can't find one that is appropriate for a large-breasted teenage girl. Any suggestions on stores or websites where I might find some suits for her? I have tried Venus, Lands End, Speedo, etc.

Thanks.

Susan - Check out Spiegels.com. They have really nice non skimpy "teen" coverage 2 piece suits that should fit her "blessings up top". I remember at her age the only ones that fit my double D's was OP (Ocean Pacific)...wonder if they're still around??

Go to oldnavy.com

They have good 2-pieces, and the tops in plus size have underwire! (you can mix and match, get the Large top, and the matching bottom from the regular sizes)

My daughter is pretty busty....we've had good luck buying the separates at Target....she's a M or L on top and a S on the bottom....glad she got my boobs, but even MORE glad she didn't get my ass!

Try delias, they have stores around and they have a website too if you can't get to a store(www.dELiAs.com) They have bottems in all different sizes, and they have select style tops in D-Cups. The D-Cup tops are all halter style, which offers a little more coverage and in my opinion, a lot more support, than your typical triangle top, but is still super cute! And they're not too expensive either. This is the type of suit I would buy for myself if I could ever wear a bikini lol.

Thanks for the sites guys, I am definitely going to check them out. Her father and stepfather are all about "more coverage", lol.

I got a great suit at Macy's. It was a halter top underwire in 36D. They are all in separates, so she could pick whatever she wanted. It was a bit spendy, but I'm sure you'll find that to be the case almost anywhere.

I would have killed my mom if she got me a 'bust minimizing' swimsuit!

There's loads around if you know where to find them

For example

Swimwear - Bella Forma Pretty Big Bras & Swimwear in Large Bra Cup Sizes D to JJ

I know its an Australian site, but they ship. Also google Seafolly, they do awesome swimwear and nearly always include a larger busted option in their bikini tops. I'm wearing a Seafolly suit in my avatar and that top is marvellous - it has no wiring but gives great coverage, good lift and stays in place! They're expensive but all double lined, really great quality, which ALWAYS looks better on than cheaper suits.

OMG!!! I love you, Jachut!!! I've been looking my whole life for someone in Aus that does this and never found a good bathing suit yet. *bookmarks the site forever and ever*

*edits*

On second thoughts, I'm not sure if I should be thanking you - I'm just about to spend a FORTUNE on bathers and bras!! Nah... I don't mean that... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
