I heard on a talk radio health program that people need to drink half of their current body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 200 lbs, you need to drink 100 oz. of water per day. And tea and other "water drinks" dont count because your body doesnt metastize the water from the tea ect.

Bunkey, You heard wrong. You don't need quite that much water and any liquid counts. You can go to the Mayo clinics web site and find info on that subject. Your body doesn't know if your liquid arrived there clear or all mixed up with food or flavorings.

there is no scientific proof behind how much water we actually NEED to take in a day. so 64 oz is the amount everyone tells us. more is better, less is ok, but not so good. Drink water, it's simple as that, just drink what you can and make sure to get the minimum in.
