OMG!! Just ate 5 french fries and a bite of fish

I cannot believe I just did that - ate 5 fries and a bite of fish. I am two weeks post op and was fully intending on drinking a shake. I do have that by my side right now, but I cannot believe what I felt in that moment. It was as though as I had not eaten before!! Has this happened to anyone else? I will stay out of the kitchen that's for sure! Hopefully my DH will be home shortly and he can tend to his own dinner! Nothing got stuck or feels like it did anyway. Boy, do I have a loonnnggg way to go with learning more new habits!! Thanks for listening!

your only 9 days out and eating macaroni salad? wow... you're brave. my doctor said a week of liquids, a week of mush, a week of softer foods and then high protein. i've lost 11lbs since my surgery and i didn't really do a pre-op diet. don't get me wrong, i'm happy that i've lost the 11 but there's noooo way i'm stopping now. not even for macaroni salad.

WOW! HOW ALL DOCS ARE SOOOO DIFF WHEN IT COMES TO PRE OP DIET!..mine saids NOTHING but clear liquid for two weeks then two weeks of mushies/soft, something you don't have to chew much/blended, then fifth week what i can tolerate...sooo different in deed!
