Infertility

Hi everyone! I was banded on 1/30/08 by Dr Matthew Brengman in Richmond, Va. I am doing very well, I find out next week when my 1st band fill is! I am down 40 pounds and I feel great.

Has anyone here had any experience with infertility like myself? My surgeon has told me that once I really get down to where I want to be (this won't be for awhile, I want to lost 130 more pounds-I weigh 290 now) that I may surprise myself and get pregnant very quickly. Has anyone had this happen? Just curious!

Ashlee :)

I was diagnosed with pcos at age 20. took met for 3 years, tried clomid no success, and then injections. Gonal F and trigger worked for me, now mommy of 20 month old twins. I am getting banded hopefully in sept/oct and want to prevent diabetes and currently have high bp which i want to change.

Hello everyone. I am new to this blog and very excitied to finally get some answers...Hopefully I will be banded with in the next 30 days, still waiting on insurance approval:confused:. I have been diagnosed with PCOS for about 6 years now and have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years, without any luckfrown.gif. I have been through Clomid-3 months worth, and Metformin-currently 1500mg per day, and nothing seems to work. I am hoping that the weight loss from the LAP BAND will help me to reach my dream of becoming a mom one day. Any good advice:unsure:??? **Baby Dust** to all ttc!!

Good luck . . . banding certainly helps when weight is contributing to difficulties conceiving. Happy banding and I'm sending loads of baby dust your way.
