1 month post op, can i eat salad?

Recommended Posts

I am almost 4 weeks post op and I've only got 4cc's, so I haven't had a tight fill yet. That will be March 6th. I'm finally on mostly regular food...just no bread or Pasta. The only thing I haven't tried yet is salad. Did anyone have any problems with salad post op? I'm eating lunch at an italian restaurant and all they have at lunch is pasta, sandwiches, and salad. So, I am at a loss as to what to order! I haven't tried bread at all. That kind of scares me.

I've yet to have an issue with salad, in fact I was CRAVING greens when I was onto solid foods. I easily have a salad every other day - be sure to chew well and you should be fine:)

Good Luck!!

I was banded on Feb 13th. I had a salad the other day. I used soft green leaf lettus. I also put a few pieces of grilled chicken in it. It was yummy. I could only eat about 1/2 cup. my first fill isn't until March 25th. I still can only eat about 1/2 c food.< /p>

salad has been one of the easiest foods for me and should be up there on every bandsters list because it helps with the Fiber issues we can be prone to if we don't get enough fiber. I can also eat more salad than other foods, I think because it mushes up and shrinks...(very scientific, huh?)

Definitely try salad. I can eat salad at dinner time, but I am usually too tight at lunchtime for a salad (I only had my 1st fill 10 days ago). Everyone is different. I had no trouble with salads before my fill, so I would say to give it a try.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
