I have a 10cc band. All I have are 2 cc in it, and I can hardley eat a thing!!!

I just had my first fill, and I am quite disapointed!! prior to my fill, oddly I had restriction. I felt food getting stuck and I could only eat a little bit. Well, my first fill was this past Tuesday, and now I feel like I can eat a horse! My doctor told me to go on a liquid diet for a few days and I didn't because I really wanted to test my restriction. Surprisingly, I have NO restriction. I haven't eaten this much since before my surgery. I don't believe he filled me with anything! if anything, he took whatever I had in there out! "Unpleased"

I also had my fill today. Strangly, my doc told me to go back on a liquid diet for a week until my boby adjusts to the restriction. Well, I did what some may say a bad thing....I tested my toleranc today and ate some smoked sausage......NO RESTRICTION!!! I am going to do the liquids for a few days, but I was suprised That I had no restriction. AND, my doc only put in 1cc. He told me to come back in 4 weeks for my second fill. What a bummer with only 1 cc

My first period after my surgery is the pitts! I have never had such bad cramps in my life! I was so miserable, I just took my liquid tylenol with codiene. (leftover from surgery). I slept like a baby. I usually take advil, but I didn't think I should take it after having my surgery. I'm doing much better today, whew! has anyone else noticed a change in their menstral period since having surgery?

My problem is just the opposite. I have diarreah! I had a low grade fever too. fever was gone the second day of the runs but I still have the runs. I think I just have a stomach virus or somthing, but if it doesn't clear up in a couple of days, I'm calling the doctor. I was banded 2-13-08. Has anyone else had diarreah?

I hope all goes well with your port fix. I'm curious though, what are the signs of a slipped band? I was banded on Feb 13. All is going well, but sometimes, when I lay down like on my back or bend a certain way, I feel pressure where I can describe as being at the bottom of my esophagus or where the band in on my stomach. It doesn't hurt, but uncomfortable.

I haven't had my first fill yet, but I do find that even now, I can't eat more than 1/2 cup food. I have a question, did it hurt when you got your fill?

I was banded on Feb 13th. I had a salad the other day. I used soft green leaf lettus. I also put a few pieces of grilled chicken in it. It was yummy. I could only eat about 1/2 cup. my first fill isn't until March 25th. I still can only eat about 1/2 c food.

I was banded on the 13th and I too had that shoulder pain. I had some soup yesterday and as soon as I felt full (about 1/2 cup) my shoulder had that pain. I hope this does not always happen.

Sorry your surgery didn't go as planned, but hang in there. I was banded on the 13th too. Your feelings are normal. Sometimes I get to the point and I say, I wish I would feel normal again. My port discomfort is finally going away. Just know that it takes time to heal. You will be fine, keep those positive feelings and recovery will seem much better.

what does PBing mean?

I had that terrible shoulder pain too. It started in my right shoulder and then gradually, went to my left. It was awful. I was banded on the 13th but now the pain is gone. My doc told me that shoulder pain is very common. Hang in there, it will go away.

my port site is a bear trying to get used to. It doesn't hurt as much as it is uncomfortable. One of my incision sites is tender though, and it feels like a small knot is under it. Maybe scar tissue or something. I'm hoping it's not a hernia.
