3 years ago today

I had my op.

I knew it was going to change my body, and as a result, my life, but I could have never imagined just how good it is to be "normal"

I got to goal in June 2006, had a TT in August that same year, and I have never looked back. These last 3 years have just flown by.

I will have DH or DS take photos of me later on today.

Congrats on making the decision to be banded! April 8th is just around the corner!!

Happy Bandiversary!!!!

Chickie, you have always been, and continue to be a HUGE inspiration to all of us. Thank you for sharing your story, your insight and your photos.

Thanks Faith!

Woo woo! I love that dress, you look fab as usual!

Thank you! It's an Alannah Hill. I wub that outfit to bits.

Chickie you are such an inspiration - I first read your story in either the That's Life or Take 5 magazine.

I had been looking into the band for about 12 months befor reading about you, your story was what made me finally make the call to do something about my weight. I could almost swear that the photo of you before was my body....

Anyway, I wanted to say thankyou for sharing such a personal journey, and a successful one at that. Congratulations - you look fantastic.

All the best for your healthier life.

Amy

Thank you very much. It is a great comfort to me that some good came out of me doing that interview.

You must be so happy with such amazing results and you look fantastic. Thanks for the reminder that I have to stay on track!

Congratulations Chickie

That is fantastic, your progress is fantastic and your photo is fantastic.

It must be great to be living, breathing proof that the band changes lives, for ever, for good.

Chickie, you are and look amazing! Thank you for sharing your before & After photos and your story... and wow... you're just so inspirational. Congratulations!

I'm getting my band next Wed, March 12th and I just feel so blessed to have this chance to turn my life around. I love this site as it introduces me to people like yourself, who have used the band to help them make the biggest change in their lives.

Thank you, again.

Cheers.

Amazing transformation! As I currently look like your BEFORE picture, I find great motivation in seeing what you were able to accomplish. If I can end up looking half as good as you do, I will have succeeded!

Thank you for sharing!

Chickie - you look fantastic - where did you get you TT done? I'll be looking at that in 12 months or so.

At the Wesley in QLD. PM me if you want my Dr's name and number.

chickie,

just found this thread (been a tad out of sorts lately...)

congrats on 3 years...

you look glamorous in that gold dress!!

beautiful!

I think I can forgive you this once ((hugs)) Thanks babe!

Thanks Jack, Sades, DonHoll, Coo, Lattedah, & Angie4b1g! :)

I agree with Jack - more photos!

When I first started reading LBT you were posting a lot, and you had great photos in your avatar. It was very inspiring for someone just thinking of the band. Then, there were fewer and fewer posts...

I am sure your new life is bustling and you have less time for LBT. However, I just wanted you to know that your posts DO matter and that you are an inspiration to many, many people (most of whom you will NEVER know about). Congrats on three successful years and here's hoping for many more.

u looks so amazing ... u must amaze urself sometimes at looking in the mirror or seeing old pics at familys houses n thinking who is that peron..

congrats again

Life is life, and it has a tendency to march on without us if we don't keep up. Over Christmas/ New Year there was a lot happening, and I haven't had as much time for LBT and even my own Mummy Board (Coffee Talk Ladies) as I would have liked.

There are reasons behind the AV and pics coming down, but I think due to demand I might have to replace them.

Thanks for your kind words Foofy.
