Wow Rain way to go. I go tomorrow at 10am and will be happy and surprised if I am down anything!

Shar (North Buffalo Gal) and I are going today to visit Sandra who just had her surgery.

Linda,

You should do well, I could really tell that you're losing a lot of inches especially in your face and neck!

I had my appointment this morning and only saw Barb. It was real quick. I did not want or need a fill. She said the gurgling is from being in a good spot and the food and liquid slowly seeping through. I did lose weight, 2 lbs. I said I probably gained and lost, and gained and lost, and gained and lost, at least 3 more over the last 6 weeks but then we both agreed I am very hard on myself.

I will proudly announce that since I started the program last April 1st to this March 1st I lost 22 1/2" overall.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the support meeting on the 18th at 6pm.

Akirra,

I hope you're doing well...let us know how you're feeling!

Hey there everyone!!!! I did very well and i feel good. I only have pain at my incision sites, also moving around in bed. And the gas pains are wicked, trying to burp is not fun, also i hiccuped OUCH!!! but once i'm up i'm ok. i've been walking and cleaning the house lightly. i'm not pushing it. I know each experiance is different so i say this as my own, i really thought it was gonna be alot worse than it was. Dr Hoffman is great, the nurse i had was wonderful, i was only there overnight, and everything went smoothly. Dr Hoffman said it only took 25 min because i followed the diet so well my liver was small and healthy. Right now i'm just adjusting to the liquid diet, ignoring my grumbling tummy :w00t: and looking forward to getting back to normal. my post op appointment is on tuesday I'll let you all know how it goes. thanx for the support

btw great job rain your photo even shows a difference in your face.

I have been sick with a head cold despite that I lost another 7 seven pounds. I had to reschedule my sleep for tonight because of my cold. I think I might have caught this from my weekend trip to Charlotte.

I just went through another week of being retitrated on my sleep apnea machine. It was an unpleasant week because of the changes in the machine but the bottom line is they increased my pressure! Doesn't look like I'll be getting rid of my machine any time soon. As the doctor said ...even skinny people have sleep apnea. My machine is large and bulky for traveling but I did find out I will be eligible for a new one in December so I have until then to save the $550 co pay. I can't complain because I really feel sooooo much better since I got the machine almost 5 years ago. I even wore it in the hospital.

So i had my post op with Dr. Hoffman today, everything looks good lost 14 lbs since my final weigh in. Moved to my pureed food stage, go back in 5 weeks for my 1st fill, so i have something to look forward to. I'm gonna kick some bootie, All I needed was the ok to walk and exercise, I'm trying to challange myself and try to drop some serious lbs, I'm lucky enough to have a trainer to help me learn the ropes of a good workout.

Akirastar, Congratulations on your weight loss so far and on your good reports. I just want to caution you - an appointment does not always equal a fill. I didn't get a fill until 3 months after surgery, some not for 6 months, some never, some right away. I had an appointment this week and did not need or want a fill. Just take one day at a time, take care of yourself and your pouch and you will, or the staff will, know when it is time for a fill. Continued success.

Hello Everyone!!! I Have not been on line for quite some time. I just don't have the time. My dad has been very ill since Thanksgiving, but hes slowly bouncing back. He is the number one reason I'm having the lapband done. He is diabetic and all of his problems today stem from that. So on MONDAY March 23, I will begin my journey.

I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!! So I'm sure with the week off after surgey I will be on line everyday. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Debbie

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
