Wilford Hall Medical Center

Ok has anyone started or plans on or already had the lap band surgery through WHMC? I am getting the referral on Monday (hopefully) and I am wondering how long it takes to get approved and how hard it is? Also, how the experience was/is. We should be PCSing this summer and hope to have the surgery done before we leave. Thanks for any info!

Hello!

I am not having my surgery at Wilford Hall, but I am also an Air Force wife. We are stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii and I will hopefully be having my surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center. They are just starting to doing lap band there. I have just started the process and I am also wondering how long it takes, so if I hear anything I will let you know and same for you.

Thanks!

Gretchen
