Managing Business Meals with Pre/Post Op Diet

Hi --

I'd appreciate any insight regarding business meals during the pre and post op diet. I am currently only on Clear Liquids and will be traveling as well as entertaining clients. Any tips to make this more managable? I'm planning on packing some boullion cubes, but it is not always easy to find a microwave or hot Water in hotels, airports, etc. Plus, I will need to dine with clients and colleagues, I do not really want to explain the diet. Any hints? I know it will be much easier in few weeks when I hit mushie food, but have several things between now and then. Thanks.

Cynthia

just have a drink, or order consume on the menu, and say you ate allready, or you have a medical test you have to do the next week, make light of it and you have no obligation to explain anything, just be cool and say nothing more

tough but its gonna be ok

If you need hot water, just use the in room coffee maker and omit the coffee. Or have your room service bring you a pitcher (they will have it - it's what people use for hot tea). Chances are they can also bring you stock/broth, since they will have it in the kitchen. For the airports, there's usually a place with soup. Get a broth-based soup and just drink the broth. Same for meals out - most restaurants have 3 soup choices, and almost always one of them will be a broth-based soup. Good luck.
