Need a fill Doctor in Las Vegas.

Recommended Posts

I had corresponded with a Dr. Barry Fisher prior to my surgery & told him when I was moving-he said he'd be glad to do the fills. When I got here, his office said that he had retired and that the remaining partners have a "new" policy of not taking on any other Dr's patients. My husband tried calling them the next day and they told him maybe, "call back in a month".

Then I contacted a Dr. Teng. That office called me back and said that they had VERY RECENTLY instituted a one-time "enrollment fee" for fill-only pts, of $500 - not covered by any insurance.

Then I contacted a Dr James Lau, his office said they'd call me back but never did.

I have all my records from Rhode Island, not that that seems to matter.

There is one more surgeon in this area (that I can find) that I haven't called yet. And I have been warned of bad experiences with that one on another board. It looked like there were alot of them when I googled, but most seem to belong to those first 3 group partnerships.

Appreciate any help that can be given!

I don't have an answer for you, but see these posts and it is definitely a problem that shouldn't exist.

If I had a heart problem and I moved, I could easily find a new cardiologist to treat me.

I would suggest you contact some association like is there a American Bariatric Surgeons Assoc? Or contact your band manufacturer and ask them for help.

I think ( hope) as more and more people become banded this will be less of a problem.

Has anyone had experience with the Fill Center USA in Las Vegas yet? I am soooo frustrated finding a Dr in Las Vegas to do fills! I have an appointment tomorrow with Fill Center USA, and pray all goes well with my fill. It is free for me to go to Dr Kirshenbaum in CO, but airfare and cab costs me about $250 and a full day of travel. I also checked with all the Las Vegas surgeons for Lap Band, and the only one that will accept me is Dr Teng, and he has a one time fee of $500, and $450 a fill, so 1st appt is $950! I will update you after my appointment so we can get some Las Vegas feedback going

Hi everyone!!! I just had lapband surgery with Dr. Zapata in Monterrey Mexico on Jan. 20th. I am doing very well but would also like to find a doctor in Las Vegas who can do a fill with fluoroscopy. I live in Alberta, Canada and Las Vegas seems to be the closest fill center to me. Has anyone of you had a fill in Vegas with flouroscopy? Thanks Cathy:smile:

HI there - I have been using the Fill Centers USA doctor in Las Vegas since October and I think he is great! His name is Dr. Ricciardi and he does a great job. I actually like him better than my surgeon for his bedside manner and he is very encouraging. I definitely recommend giving him a try to see for yourself. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
