Does anybody have any idea how long it takes for the throat soreness to go away? They said it's from my tube during surgery and I guess I have some rawness or swelling from that. It still hurts quite a bit and my mouth is SO DRY - no amount of liquids is helping that situation at all. Any support, ideas or suggestions to can send my way? :help:

Sounds like they really scraped your throat with the breathing tube. That sucks. I don't know what would help that other than throat spray maybe.

I had the thirst problem for the first 2 days. My mouth was so dry I couldn't even talk. The only thing that seemed to help me was ice chips and popsickles.

How are you feeling otherwise?

that tube sore throat can take a while to get better...hang in there...in a few days you should be over the hump...

as for the dry mouth...if you're still taking the prescribed pain meds, that 'may' be the culprit...just a thought
