It's such a difficult decision to make. I've been there. I'm only 32 but being a bad judge of character, I've been married 3 times.

Life is short, so make the most of it. But, it is a bloody long time if you are miserable.

Do what you feel is the right thing and have no regrets - that is my motto for life.

Thinking of you,

Jen

I'm with the rest of the crowd.

No one will ever talk to me like that without me laying his ass flat on the ground.

Stand your ground. If he doesn't beg your forgiveness on bended knee with the moola in hand, kick his ass right out the door straight on over to his bitch sister's house.

It sucks, but I doubt things will change. He pretty much told you his sister came first when you first started dating, and now he's confirmed it.

The lease is in your name and not both names? So he has no incentive to pay the rent--it won't mess up his credit. Sounds to me that he has problems accepting responsibility. He tells you to talk to his sister, she gets mad, then he calls you a dog in heat because you made her mad! This guy is good at wiggling out. The only way I'd let this guy back is after some counseling.

I agree with everyone else. It sounds like your hubby has a bit more growing up to do. You are not being mean for asking to get money on the date it was promised. Your SIL should be kissing your two sets of feet because the two of you were kind enough to let her have the money in the first place! I'm a bit taken aback by her reaction.

Be careful while standing your ground though...in my experience, angry men sometimes do really stupid things. I don't want you to get hurt. Have someone home with you when he gets his stuff (preferably someone like your dad or very large brothers/male friends if you have any). Make sure you have bank accounts/credit cards in your own name as well or your hubby might leave you with nothing! You may want to speak with a lawyer to double-check if there are any other steps you should take to protect yourself financially.

You just learned the hard way why relatives should try to avoid loaning money to each other if possible (or if you do loan a relative money, make sure you are able to live comfortably without it because you may never see it again). You also have to be very careful about co-signing loans for the same reason. People have had their credit ruined because the other co-signer was irresponsible.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope you are able to move forward without too much drama!!!

Good for you! That's an even better solution than going to your parents', especially since the place is only in your name. Definitely be there when he gets his stuff, and definitely have someone there with you when he is there.

And definitely dump him! He is mean to you and has far too much growing up for you to have deal with. You can do much better for yourself than this one.

If he's going to act so irresponsibly, then it is past time for him to go.

If he really cared about you and your MARRIAGE, he would have been at your doorstep, begging for another chance, with the MONEY FROM HIS SISTER IN HAND.

He hasn't done that, he's packing already. Tells you right there how much he loves and cares about you and your committment to one another.

This man was not ready for marriage, nor will he possibly ever be if he's going to let a sister dictate who he is with.

I wish you luck and happiness and good health!

Brava to you for standing up for YOURSELF! It's gonna be a rough start to 2008, but I'm going to bet this will be an amazing year for you!

Just so ya know, landlord can't legally kick you out without 30 day notice, even if it is for non-payment.

So if they try to kick you out the next morning, call the cops.

And sorry you're going through all this

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
