Those thing freaked me out with the buzz........ but then I grew to like the buzz.......... I stopped taking them after the 30 day script ran out....... I didn't lose one pound and it was really THOSE pills that made the final decision for me to get the band......... my doc told me to stop taking them prior to surgery......... once I reached restriction with the band... I am not hungry and actually forget to eat on some days..... NO PILL HAS EVER DONE THAT!

Julie,

yur should feel so pround of your wieght lost and keeping it off for 1 1/2 yrs.

you have lost over 100 pds right? what if you dont get to your goal of 185 pds, would that be so bad?

My goal is to get to 200, its been over 15 years since I weighed even close to that. I wish you luck in your continue success.

Hi Lachica, I lost 40 lbs preop so I am considered a slow loser at 65 lbs in 18 months. I am however proud of myself. My main motivator right now is that I am still categorized as obese. At 185 I would be considered overweight. 165 would be average. My doctor said most patients lose 62% on average so I am slightly above average now. My band has been giving me problems for months. Fills, unfills., etc. I am hoping I can take the 35 lbs off with weight watchers which I started today. Yes, I look really good in a size 18 at 5'9". I really wish I wasn't considered obese still! Julie
