Isopure clear protein drink

Recommended Posts

I mix a scoop of Isopure low carb chocolate with the Carnation Instant Breakfast, milk and 3 ice cubesand get a drink that is like a milkshake. One scoop of the Isopure is 25 grams of Protein.

Designer whey (designerwhey.com) is giving free samples of the Protein to go. Its like a crystal light shot that goes in a bottle of Water and will give you 10 grams of protein.

I get Isopute clear liquid at Vitamin Shoppe....usually buy it by the case as it's cheaper.....not the greatest tasting, but I can get it down...has 40 grams of Protein, much higher than the Special K and Atkins shakes.....I'm 3 months out and still use it.....gets the protein in with minimal calories..

I agree with everyone else--buy just a little (or get samples) before you buy in bulk!

I made that mistake long before surgery, by stocking up on unjury--only to find now that I don't have much use for the unflavored (except in sugar free/fat free puddings), I'm not crazy about the chicken broth, and likewise for the chocolate (I'm using the last packet today--yay!)

Everyone has different tastes, as displayed here--I'm a chocoholic myself and can't stand the fruity drinks--but that's what makes the world go around! There are tons of websites that carry (whey Protein isolate) and I've found two that are for me--but I'll still sample others from time to time--but just a sample! ;)

I have been trying different Protein Drinks to see if I like them and I loved this Isopure - Apple Melon! It tasted like an apple jolly rancher almost. Very refreshing!!! I'm going to try the Grape next. The guy at the GNC told me that they usually sell them in 12 bottle bulk too.

Bariatriceating.com has a website with an entire line of products. I ordered several things from them. I was disappointed in their sample of Protein Shakes. Yes, they had enormous amounts of protien, but no other Vitamins and minerals. If you're doing vitamins, I guess that doesn't matter, but I just felt cheated. They have other products that are really good, and their whey Protein mixes very easily.

You'll get tired of them fast once that's about the only thing you can have right after being banded. But now that I just drink them occassionally, I like the Alpine Punch, the pineapple banana and Apple Melon. I've never tried the Blue Raspberry and don't like the grape.

I think almost everyone can find one or two flavors to choose from. I prefer it really cold over ice.

I like the pineapple banana too - sometimes it is a little too strong for me so I cut it with Water - tastes pretty good.

If you have a smoothie king store near you go in and try the Gladiator shake - it comes in choc or vanilla and is 180cal with no carbs no fat and 45G of Protein...it is awesome, I usually hate those shakes, but this has worked wonders for me. smoothie King is awesome as you can buy a shake - see if you like it - then buy the powder for home.

good luck

My update: I can do the Isopure clear. :) It's not the best thing in the world, but I can swallow it without feeling like I'm going to gag. I have to pour about 4 oz into a cup and add about 4 oz of Water ... IF I get a whole bottle down in a day, that's a lot of Protein plus most of my water.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
