I'm eating to much

Recommended Posts

Not because of the holidays but because I dont feel a restriction. I scheduled a fill for 1/15, but I cant seem to stop eating. I dont feel any restriction like I did before. On Christmas I had a plate full of Rice, ham, pork, pastel (a spanish tamale kinda thing) and plantain salad. I didn't have as much as I would have before, But it sure was enough. I dont even feel full after I eat. I just feel guilty because I ate to much and didnt realize it until it was to late. I've only has one fill and I dont know if that Could that be part of the problem? Help!

Hi,

If you've only had one fill, YOU ARE NORMAL!!! You made an appt. for 1-15 and you will get more restriction then. DON'T SWEAT IT! You are losing great by the looks of your Ticker. Focus on the good rules...protein, veggies, Water. Not to worry.

I agree with Iharriet. I would only add, make sure you drink Water. Sometimes when you think you are hungry, you are really thirsty. Drink Water and wait before you eat. That usually makes a difference for me. I need a fill also. Hopefully my doc will get me in around the 15th also.

I go through this exact thing each time I let myself go too long without a fill. At my last fill I was complaining to the nurse about it (who does the fills and also has a lapband) and she pointed out that if I made sure to come and get little fills more often instead of waiting until I get to the point that I'm starting to undo some of my weight loss progress I wouldn't feel so bad about it all. Make sure you schedule your fills BEFORE you think you need them. You can always cancel if you get close and really don't think you need it. It's not worth it to start overeating and then feeling all bad about it because you aren't getting fills or you didn't schedule one in advance and now you have to wait for your appointment.

Once you get to a good fill level, you wll feel better and you will DO better! Good luck!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
