Surgery done. Got home about 1ish. Napping off and on, as still exhausted. The gas pain is no fun

Yay! I hope the pain is manageable and the liquids are easy!

Sitting and waiting for my IV! Good luck everyone today!

Was you as nervous as you anticipated or did the vein champagne take care of that?

Awwww - well done, Lizrios. I'm so pleased you have come through the surgery and it has gone smoothly for you. I know you were really quite worried - you did it! xx

Great job, Lizrios!! I had HH repair too and the gas pain around that area is the area that “hurts the most”. Just woke up for more lab work… they’re going to have me up for more tests & starting full liquid already today! Good luck everyone, we all got this!!

I had my surgery yesterday too! I had hernia repair as well, and that’s the only thing that is tender. I’ve been walking better than I was before surgery. I was scared and made myself think it was worse than what it was. I’m doing good! I’m not hungry at all.

Me too ughhh

I had my surgery yesterday. I’m in very little pain. I worried for nothing. I thought it would be worse than what it is. You will be fine!

My surgery is Wednesday and I’m getting scared. Were you scared? I’m still going to do it, but just wondered if I’m the only one feeling like this.

I have been vacillating for almost two years about having weight loss surgery. I’m still SO anxious! My surgery is next Wednesday, the 14th. I am on my 1000 calorie/mostly Protein Shake pre-surgery diet. I am already missing food. I am looking forward to not having hunger pains and pangs.
I wish everyone a successful surgery, uneventful recovery and continuing success!

I had the surgery at 69 and that worried me. I will be 70 in August. Was not a factor in how I Ifeel now that I had the surgery.

Hello everyone,

My surgery is on June 16. I'm more excited than anything else. I started the journey at 328 lbs and one week in the preop diet (two Protein Shakes, 4 oz of lean meat and unlimited non-starchy veggies per day) I am at 315 lbs. You all are an inspiration and I love reading through everyone's posts. Keep up the good work everyone!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
