  1. I’m 5 weeks out and I have caved to some temptations but in tiny doses. I ate a single fricken tater tot! It was delicious. I bought a burger and ate just a few bites of the meat and cheese. Then I took a big bite of the burger and bun and chewed on it then spit it out. I didn’t want to cause the aftermath of actually eating/swallowing said burger so I just savored it in my mouth and enjoyed the chewing. Anyone else done this?
  2. I could barely spend an hour out in the sun and felt light-headed. It did make me more thirsty which is a good thing!

  5. My new best friend since I’m struggling with swallowing pills, especially since I’m not supposed to “gulp” water!

  7. I feel old at 55 doing this. I went straight for the DS surgery because I want results and don’t want to go back for more weight loss surgeries (skin removal is a possibility). I definitely don’t want to do that again. I had complications after my surgery on the 14th. I was in the hospital an extra 3 days. I didn’t want to post and scare anyone but I’m a week out from surgery now and doing much better. I just need to figure out my eating/drinking schedule since they can’t be done within 30 minutes of each other. I am super excited for the results. From max weight before the pre-surgery diet to now, I’m down 25 pounds!!!
  8. I have been vacillating for almost two years about having weight loss surgery. I’m still SO anxious! My surgery is next Wednesday, the 14th. I am on my 1000 calorie/mostly protein shake pre-surgery diet. I am already missing food. I am looking forward to not having hunger pains and pangs. I wish everyone a successful surgery, uneventful recovery and continuing success!

  10. Hi Lolavolcan, I'm in Utah too. I haven't been assigned a diet yet. My pre-surgery appointment is June 9 and that's when I start all liquids then my surgery is just 5 days later. There is such a huge variation of requirements. I'm almost concerned that I haven't been given more prep diet time. I need to do some research! eek!
