Hi there!!! I just got my revision surgery date today. It's June 28th. My hospital pre-op appt is June 12th and my pre-op appt with my surgeon is the 13th. Super excited to finally get back to my life!!! I actually loved my sleeve, but the horrible GERD, esophagitis, and gastritis it caused pretty much brought my health, weight loss, working out, and overall happiness to a screeching halt. BUT....now that I have my surgery date, I'm super excited to get my life back and finish my weight loss journey!!! Happy June surgeries everyone!!!!

I have cut back on everything everything that I put in my body is sugar free it's liquid is Jello it's popsicles it's broth homemade broth and I even join the Y again so I can work out and I lost a pound no I'm not sure if that's enough and my surgery is on the 13th that is what I've been following and I just feel like why aren't I losing more weight than that I walk everyday

3 shakes, not 4. No milk (non dairy like almond milk is fine) and make sure you do at least some light walking every day.

Now that I am strictly on liquid three days out from my operation I'm only using two Protein Shakes 11 oz of chicken broth twice a day unlimited Water Jello, popsicles, pudding. but that's cuz they told me yesterday that we are only supposed to have 60 grams of Protein on this liquid diet that's why I cut it down to two protein shakes.

I’m home from my surgery I had on june 7th. I’m a little tender and sore but doing good so far. Hope I can keep track of all that I must do. One ounce of liquid every fifteen minutes. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I can’t believe I did it! I have five incisions

I am happy that all went well. My surgery did not go well. I have 6 incisions not 5, it was supposed to last 4 hours, it lasted about 7, and I still hurt like hell if I do not take muscle relaxants and opioids. I do not dare to look at the surgery notes and find what happened but when I will, I will let you know.

I am now 9 days post surgery. I've been lucky enough not to have experienced pain and to have had a relatively smooth journey so far. I've started to drive now which feels comfortable and and I'm moving around quite easily. I am however moving quite deliberately and taking it slowly still no matter how well I feel i have to remind myself i have had major surgery. I am a little tired come evening - I am pacing myself in place of pushing myself. I have 5 incisions which are now itchy owing to the healing. I'd love to get back into the pool but will give it a few weeks more - ill speak to my surgical team first. Thinking about you guys who have had a rough time - hang in there - it will pass xx

Congratulations so nice to hear that everything went well in your home wishing you a speedy recovery.

This morning I woke up sore. I still need pain meds to take. I could not sleep on my bed. Slept in my recliner. Drinking fluids one ounce every 15 minutes Able to shower.

Anyone else sleeping a crazy amount?? I could literally sleep 12 hours straight. I’m going to have to start setting alarms for meds/water/ Protein. Had surgery on Wednesday… still sore, almost all gas is gone.

I slept for long hours in the days following surgery but it was a pleasant sleep - we have had major surgery and our body is directing us to rest. I'm sleeping and feeling a little more tired earlier but i think earlier nights is a good thing for me personally - I wake up feeling good.

I had my surgery on 1st June. I'm doing ok. Managing to get around or about 1.5 litres of Water and 4 small portions (3-4 tablespoon full) of mostly Protein based pureed meals per day. I am now driving and was out for the longest I have been since surgery. Strolling around for a few hours and even trying on a few things! I have no pain. I am happy about the decision I made to have the surgery. I hope you are all well - good luck and congratulations to those of you who are having the surgery today xx

I weighed 199 pounds (90 kg) this morning! I felt accomplished and happy, and celebrated by going to the gym to lift some weights. Hoping everyone else out there is making progress, whether you are pre- or post-op 😊
Today is 7 weeks and two days post-op for me. I've been through two stalls already, but I am sticking to the program. I want long-term success from all of the sacrifice and pain. You all know I mean!

Okay so, as of yesterday my insurance company contacted me direction to say, that I was approved and have completed all the required items on the "To Do List". so, I should be getting my appointment next week for meeting with the Anesthesiologist. I'm very excited/nervous, but extremely happy too.

Tomorrow will be 7 weeks since surgery. Yesterday i found that I was able to finally drink more than a sip at a time. I am SO grateful! I have always loved drinking water and it has been my primary beverage for most of my life; losing the ability to drink a lot of it was my first post-surgical regret. Being able to drink more than a tiny sip at a time makes me feel so much more normal.
I'm eating around 500-700 calories a day, and have hit my second stall. I have begun to only weigh myself once a week. I've made to the gym twice since surgery, but I've been walking my pup and walking at work up to 3 miles a day on average.
I've also been using resistance bands and stretching. I'm not quite ready for twisty yoga stuff yet. Or jogging. I did do a 10+ mile bicycle ride last weekend with a friend to a coffee shop where I had a cold decaf coffee with half and half. That was another activity that made me feel kinda normal.
I'm still drinking one protein drink a day, trying to hit my goal of at least 60 grams a day. Today I got 72 in thanks to a cold G Zero with 10 grams.
My abdomen is still a bit sore in general. The way I understand it, the inside is not fully healed until 3 months after surgery. That means sometime around November 1st. This is when I will go on the forever way of eating according to my provider's plan. I look forward to that day.
Oh! And I should mention that I learned about a chain restaurant that is in about 30 or so states. It is called Clean Eatz, and they have a menu that is friendly to we bariatric patients. My support group last night talked about getting pizza and flatbreads from there. I checked it out and it looks like it's both eat-in and takeaway. This is the first place I'm going when I feel ready to eat out again
