My surgery was 06/13, my starting weight was 211 and I'm 198 and I'm on stage 3 with Vitamins, Calcium and soft scrambled eggs and stuff

Oh that’s awesome! You’re making such strides already! I’m scared to go on the scale after a disappointing week 1 lol. So I’ll wait til my next doctor’s appointment.

Hello everyone! I'm here and surviving but trying to deal with those dang fast food commercials. My family has planned a beach vacation and I'll be hopefuly starting soft foods by then but I don't want to say until I know more at my weekly follow up visit on Wednesday. I'm trying to drink Water and diluted fruit juice to keep mt bloodsugar upm but i'm sick of diluted juices. I have no patience on this whatsoever and I know I need it. I just keep going to get to my sister's point. She's a year out so I have a long way to go to get to her level.

Yeah that's what I'm going to do from here on out is stay off of the scale I know it is a process it's going to take up to a year to even get to my goal weight but close to that but I know I don't have that much to lose but it's still hard but I don't want to be on the scale thinking oh I only lost a pound today or yesterday so yeah it's best to stay off I was just happy when I went to the doctor and he was like oh you lost 12 lbs

Thanks, I just walked 10 laps around the floor and it was okay.

Chest pain didn’t subside, so they gave me some pain meds. Hopeful to get out of here no later than Sunday.

My surgeon used staples, is that common? I was expecting dissolving stitches and glue, lol.

Mine used staples inside for my stomach and glue outside.

My surgeon stopped by the hospital today and I’m getting discharged at noon.

I asked when he’d remove the staples and he said in about a week. Sounds good to me.

All drinks I'm having issues with I think because it's sugar free, they just have a weird taste to me.

I agree but I had a stroke five years ago and I think my taste buds changed from that so some things taste better like a choc vanilla swirl pudding and some no sugar popsicles by outshine are amazing!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
