I’m three weeks post op today and was able to start soft foods. It look me like an hour to eat 2oz. Idk what is wrong with me lol

So a tip my nutritionist told me was take pea size bite every minute. It has helped me meet my Protein goals. 😊

May surgery was May 9th. Thank God I'm doing so well. I'm Grateful 🙏🏾 I've had no issues other than I stalled about 2 weeks ago...but I'm still pressing on. I hope it breaks soon.

What are you all eating for the puréed stage?? I dislike most mushy textures (oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, etc.) trying to find something that I may like…

It's just one of those stages you got to power through. I pureed tuna/chicken/egg salad, moist chicken or turkey with gravy, and loved mashed potatoes (put Protein Powder in it for extra protein). Chunky Soups can also be pureed, just add Protein powder.

Try the ricotta bake. It’s delicious. I finally made it yesterday and omg👌🏽 i also bought a small food processor and chopped ground turkey, added some hummus and it too was delicious.

I bought Soup from Panera and puréed it. I made sure to strain it, but it worked fine. Highly recommend the Tomato Soup.

I mainly had mashed potato with cheese sauce and pureed black bean Soup. Those were really the only 2 things that appealed to me at the time.

Guys I am at week 5 and I am still stalled I don’t know what I am doing wrong!!! I am a total of 45 pounds down and have been stuck at 359/360 for 2 and a half weeks. I exercise everyday walk or swim. I am hitting Water and Protein goal trying to get my calories to at least 700 in that process but happier if they go over since they want me close to 1000 I don’t know what else to do. I have been pretty good at not weighing my self everyday now but still!!!! How long did your three week stall last

What cheese sauce were you allowed to have? I feel as though mashed potato is the only thing I’ll be eating. Did you buy the pre made potato or did you mash your own?

What do you guys do when you feel gross. Idk how to explain it. Like I met my Protein and liquid goals today. I go potty everyday. But the last 2 nights I felt yuck. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and had to take Pepto. But I don’t want always take meds. Never been a fan of a lot of medications. I used to drink ginger ale. Obviously can’t do that anymore.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
