Sleeping

This is probably going to sound silly but I have seen a lot of comments about sleeping in a recliner after coming home from surgery. Were you able to sleep in your bed? I don't have a recliner and really don't want to purchase one just for this reason but also need to be able to sleep comfortably. Would pillows propped against my headboard be sufficient? I'm having the sleeve on Nov 7th.

  • Keep the Wedge! ? You need to sleep on your back with back & legs elevated after TT. I have an adjustable bed, but I’m so not a back sleeper. I’ll be happy to get passed this initial stage.

After my vsg, I slept in the bed as usual. i am not a stomach sleeper but a side sleeper. After my rny revision, I slept with a wedge, but mainly cause I had one. I don't think you need a recliner.

I have been thinking about a tummy tuck, so I guess I'll have to cross that post-op sleeping crossroads when I get to it. It doesn't sound pleasant! lol
