Hi yalllll!!!

I was wondering what are some of y’all favorite meals in the puréed portion of the post diet?

I want something to look forward to lol (about a week out today and I’m DEHYDRATED !!!)

Let's see... I had chicken curry, chicken alfredo, there was Thai something, even did Mongolian BBQ. Basically I pureed my favorites using the meat and a little sauce for moisture/flavor. Protein first, in quantity at least, it's hard to tell once it's pureed.

I always went for big bang for meals: big flavor, big spice, big heat, small quantity.

Good luck,

Tek

I cook from scratch for my family every day so I just pureed whatever they were having with extra sauce/gravy. My absolute fave from that period was a roast lamb dinner - loads of lamb, some veg, some gravy. Sooooo tasty I still remember it after the bland liquids/shakes phases.

You can purée most things. Just use gravy, stock, milk, yoghurt, mayo, etc. to keep it moist & drop of the spoon consistency. Add herbs & spice to taste.

I was allowed instant rolled oats (with extra milk to keep it thin) & scrambled eggs (again with extra milk so very soft). I also mashed boiled eggs, & puréed tinned salmon with Mayo (though it tasted pretty revolting). Also puréed very slow cooked meat & vegetable Soups. I also ate yoghurt & drank yoghurt drinks. Friend swore she ate puréed chicken with gravy every day. It may come down to what tastes ok to you (I threw out the salmon).

You know, sometimes we eat what we are supposed to, and sometimes we eat what we need to HAVE, LOL! Instant mashed potatoes, refried Beans with some cheese never hurt my stomach. Plain old Campbell's Tomato Soup is still in my rotation, and I am 5 months out. Egs, prepared any way, even hard boiled, as those can be chewed down. Sometimes I eat something I shouldn't, and it lets me know, and I retreat back to these old standbys. You'll find your faves....

thanks this is reassuring!!! I’m dreaming of the day I can eat something other than SF Jello lol 🤣 I did just order some stuff to prepare so I’m excited to find some of my faves like you mentioned.

today I had SF pudding for the first time and oddly wasn’t as satisfying as I thought it might be

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
