When I take my pills in the morning I throw up and when I take my pills before bed I throw up. I’m 3 weeks PO. Is anyone else having this issue?

What pills are they ? If they are your Vitamins or Iron tablets, space them out over the day with food. I couldnt stomach the gummy vitamins and changed them to regular. Contact your team if its anything else

I am 3 weeks post op and the only thing that causes me issues are Vitamins. So far the trick i have learned with that is i take it and quickly go to bed with a ice pack on my head and try to sleep a little. Takes about 15-20 minutes for me to feel that Vitamin and i start to feel nausea but it passes and i do fine. If i stayed up and awake i would throw up

So i had issues with my horse pill sized Calcium pill (that i had to take 3 times a day!)

I would make me nauseous and/or barf.

Cutting it up smaller or crushing it somehow made the ickiness worse.

Then i stared burying that effing pill in a tablespoon of greek yogurt and swallowing the spoonful and that did trick. Took me almost 2 months to figure this out though.

But then I discovered those chocolate calcium soft chews and Calcium Vitamin Time became a good time of day lol

I had issues with pills and them getting stuck in my throat for the first couple of months. No matter what size. So my Vitamins, I had to go chewables and Patches.
My medication consists of two small pills and even now they get hung up sometimes. The surgeon suggested drinking warm tea, Water or coffee first to loosen throat, that helped a lot.

If it’s your Vitamin there are things you can try such as taking with food/ Protein Shake but if it’s other pill that shouldn’t be causing nausea I agree you should contact your dr.

Try contacting your pharmacy and see if you can crush your pills. Some cannot safely be crushed but many can.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
