Oh yes Marianne that's without a doupt my end as well, I never leave the house without my makeup bag lol

On the other hand my nerves are quite tense today, butterflies in my stomach as the day gets closer. I've had a few confirmation calls from the hospital and they didn't neglect to mention that it can be cancelled on the day depending on the covid cases in emergency. I think it just started to sink in that it's really happening.

I'm so hoping that we don't get cancelled again🙏🙏🙏

Fingers crossed for you, Merill. I hope the numbers stay low or go away altogether and you get the procedure.
You made me laugh 😂🤣😂🤣…I go to the beach for two hours and I bring the same amount of stuff as if I was going for a week. My stuff is my stuff.
Keep me posted!

So far so good no cancellation as yet and if I don't get a call on Sunday then I'm all good to go😁

I've sent my son and pet to my daughters house and just doing little things around the house like drenching my plants in Water taking care of other little things here in there I guess this is what they call nesting😄

And tomorrow I will do my personal prep care like manicure and pedicure and get my luggage ready😁😁😁😁

Hi I am in london UK and had sleeve yesterday. Wonder if anyone in similar time frame. Feeling so much better than this morning even. Was regretting everything on waking and even til this morning and now so much better. Hoping it is only good from now.

Hi, I’m a little late to this post, but I had a revision SADI on May 2nd. Doing well - just still feeling weak after doing anything though, but pain is minimal. ☺️

Weare on our way. Little nervous but mainly excited. We stay in a hotel tonight. Early morning. They did not tell me to but yesterday and this morning I took colace. It worked for me glad I did not do a laxative. Trying to keep a positive out look

***TMI warning ***

That was so smart!!! I had my VSG on 5/10 and haven't pooped since probably 5/8 and today is 5/14...

Im starting to wonder how much of my post surgery bloat is from that!

Hi, had VSG on 5/10. Didn't feel horrible afterwards but I think the lack of sleep made me feel worse the first few days. First decent night sleep last night changed my outlook tremendously. I'm still super puffy, I'd appreciate that to go down.

I am second night in hospital and feeling shocking. Very nauseous and like you unable to sleep so yes probably feeling worse because of it. I go home today but concerned about leaving.

Hi hope you are doing well. Can I ask you what a sleeve revision is as I am totally new on here. Does it mean it didn’t work or there was a problem with the first op ? I salute you for going through this again. I am 2 days post op and struggling with the uncomfortable immediate aftermath. Best wishes.

I was worried as well it wasn't until the 6th day after surgery. As my nurse stated you consumed nothing but liquids.

Hi, thanks so much asking! ☺️ I’m doing really well right now. I’m just weak if I do too much - I have to rest in between. Not much energy back yet.

i had a revision from a sleeve to a SADI because I ended up gaining a 100lbs back of the 150lbs that I lost with my VSG. The 100 lb gain was due to depression meds and me getting on a food pity party for 3 years and not coming off of it! Lol

oh, I so hope that you feel better soon! Did you get a VSG? I found the hardest thing there was adjusting to the amounts of Fluid that I could take in. Also, the after effects of the surgery was hard to come back from. Hopefully, you’ll have a turn around soon and start feeling like yourself again! Big hugs!

best wishes!

Meant to add that I have chest and shoulder pain from I assume the gas and it comes and goes. Am welcoming this being over.

The best thing for that is a warm heating pad and walking, so you can release the gas. It really helps!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
