Is anyone here in the San Antonio area & going through the Methodist Metropolitan Weight Loss Center???

My Dr is leaving at the end of June & IDK what to do. I am hoping to be scheduled for my Gastric Sleeve by June 22nd ish.

Do I change Doctors so I have the same one through Post Op etc...?

Or keep the one I currently have??

We love Texas too. I never felt at home until we moved here. [emoji3590] If you can take your first nutrition class the same day as your appointment get it done! It's a pain and only on Fridays. I haven't done mine yet, I need to get that done lol

That is exactly how I felt when I moved here.

I think mine is scheduled for the 27th of August right now. I want to change it though. If u wanna go together let me know!!

You do have to watch the videos I believe there are 6 and 5 of them you can watch from home after the first one in the office which is the one they only do on Fridays.

Yes he actually sent me some along with a letter and stuff. I am going to try to do it sooner. Like the 20th or so. So I can have more time to watch the videos. I believe the videos start at 1030 and are every hour until 3.

Haha you did better than me. As soon as they cut open I was all NOPE! [emoji23][emoji23] He will ask about it when you see him. He gives warnings on his videos that it gets graphic ahah I thought I could do it. Haha nope. He will check your liver during the visit to like push on the belly. It was nice they even let me bring my fiancé and weren't weird about having two people.

You know I'm not sure. That's all I needed for cash pay was to have the high bmi [emoji45]. I'm new too:) I got to pick my date. I was told dr. Pilcher does surgeries on Tuesdays, if you use him. I'm not sure how different that would be with insurance to be honest.

Welcome!!!! And that is what my insurance told me too. I have my consultation with surgeon on the 6th so I will find out then if there are any requirements. As far as dates.... depends on requirements I think.
